By the way, why is that Empyrean has more points, yet you have a higher rank? Edit: I noticed from everyone's scores that points are not calculated based purely on cpm as I had originally thought. Now I'm not so sure how points are calculated. Edit2: I made a mistake with Empyrean's points, I put him down with 563 but he actually had 546. Please let me know if I make any errors so I can fix them! | ||

if i were the 10th person to take the test i'd probably be number 1 wiht my 125 if i'm the millionth person to take the test then my ranking will be significantly lower so even if people keep getting 125's and the same number of pts, because i took the test earlier, my rank looks higher even though it just means that in reality my rank has gone down | ||

This test kills me.Normally I'm eaither staring at the keyboard writing what I'm thinking. If I'm copying something, it's generally sentences with words in a sensible order that I can remember as I type it out before glancing at the next one. Having to go back and forth from screen to KB for each random word really slows me down. I am getting better at hammering words out without looking at it the keyboard (and doing this test repeatedly could help/provide motivation) but for now I get a middling score :-/ 313 points, 77 wpm, 407 cpm, 99169 position, 0 wrong screeny (as if I'd fudge that score) So I just tried typeracer (which someone mentioned earlier) and typing actual sentences let me concentrate on the keyboard (haha) and I got 91 WPM. Not as much better as I would have liked, but better indeed. screeny | ||
