Yeah, but not enough to be considered Bonjwa.

BoxeR, NaDa, oov, and sAviOr are considered the "bonjwas". I don't feel Bisu was dominant enough to be Bonjwa, and July wasn't either.

But they were both close.

JulyZerg, but I find that he'll never had a 'bonjwa' status due to his inability to dominate for a period of time. He may be the most successful OSL finalist ever, yet that goes hand in hand with the golden mouse. There was no time period to call ' (Z)

JulyZerg's just those 3 finals that happened over a long period of time. What you can give to someone like (Z)

July, that you can't give to (Z)

sAviOr (yet) is the ability to come back from a horrible slump.

Everyone can point at (T)

NaDa and be like, well he dominated before (T)

Oov, and

BoxeR before him. They had periods to call their own, as did (Z)

sAviOr. There is a great TLFE article explaining how there has not really been a 'bonjwa' since (Z)

sAviOr since no one has held a throne for such a long time: Post Savior Starcraft

People throw around (P)

Bisu (and now JD) but (P)

Bisu never led the pack for a long enough time (and stumbled easily) and JD seems to have problem in the individual leagues as of late - we'll see how that turns out.

I really liked the opening part, it seemed to to me falter a bit after that, but decent nonetheless.

Also, Jaedong as his apprentice? I mean, I know Jaedong essentially succeeded him as the best zerg in the world, but they weren't connected at all except for both being awesome zergs were they?

I can't wait to see what Savior does when he "comes back". I hope he really and truly comes back with some revolutionary play or something, and not just come back with great mechanics and psychology. That's assuming he comes back at all though, he could pull a Garmito.

July did hold KeSPA #1 for eleven straight months opposed to Saviors nine. However somehow (Z)

ChoJJa was #1 many of the months (Z)

sAviOr should have been #1 on the rankings back in 2006.

July is an extremely consistent tournamentplayer - he has played in every OSL since his royal road in Gillette except the Daum OSL which he missed. He has played 117 OSL matches thus far, reached 5 finals and won 3 of them, and I think(not 100% sure) he has now passed (T)

BoxeR in total number of OSL matches. Like his fellow gold-mouse companion he also won the prestigous KT-KTF tournament which makes me consider him more accomplished than (Z)

sAviOr.

However as much as I love (Z)

July he wasnt as dominant as (Z)

sAviOr at his peak. (Z)

sAviOr in 2006 is like (T)

Oov in 2004, (T)

NaDa in mid 2002 early 2003, and (T)

BoxeR in 2001. There was no way they were the underdog in any BO5 those years. (Z)

July was kindof sharing his prime as #1 together with (T)

Oov, much like (Z)

YellOw with (T)

BoxeR except (Z)

July won titles.

July can be placed in another category though, the ones who slayed the beasts and showed it's possible to beat them in a BO5. That group consist of (P)

EDIT Boxer has 132 OSL matches, that's 15 more than July.

Yellow has 134!
