I think it's Hammertime~ Na~ nanana~ Hammertime.
One Day too. Mani power.
See if SuperJongMan posted this comment in a thread say, about Xellos winning Olympus OSL or Nada winning or whoever and crying, and then carlodajin responded to it, where do you think it would lead to? It would probably go along the lines of something like about how it is good to cry and be emo over it, then move on to his passionate love of S. Korea, then about how xellos was the winner of WCG 2004, and how nada was the greatest player ever, but even so, he is not as good as the Legend of South Korea `SlayerS`_Boxer or whatever etc...
see how it gets so insanely irritating? :__>#@@!$!@$.

"It isn´t that hard to be nice to a guy", when has this forum been about respect for other users or feeling empathy for other people"? Give me a break
i would say respect for other forum users yes, but not so much empathy.

Flaming the "..." thing as a bannable offense? sure why not! But ill fight to my grave for the right to correct/flame someone if they post crap
Just be careful about the whole issue.. because there are 2, not just one (quality + ...)

This doesnt help the thread but this is getting stupid.
If i understand correctly Manifesto isn't asking you to be his friend or protect him or any of that bs. Hes just asking you guys to leave him alone and just treat him like you treat any other poster on tl. And if you guys dont hes giving you a warning now.
edit. at first i thought it was cute and all but it got annoying. I just ignore it now but theres something wrong when you get banned multiple times over the same thing and still continue after all the times he heard people tell him to stop. I dont even see him trying. His post in the thread literally felt like rubbing it in our faces. If theres anyone here who is from peru and speaks whatever language they speak there (spanish?) explain it to him. And from what i read the guy is over 20. So he should understand. Also you make it seem likes hes all innocent doing nothing wrong. And he always acts like hes the victim. Yeah joining the flaming bandwagon is wrong but some of it is his fault.

didnt read more than the first page but if it had been ONE guy replying OCCASIONALLY to carlodajin's posts making fun of his tendency to overuse .'s then it wouldnt be a big deal, hell not even matter at all but when you have 5 people in a row responding thus sidetracking the thread, those 5 are all doing way more harm to the thread than the ,'s ever did.

i put his posts on a higher level ol "innocence" about the game , smile a couple times and thats all ; i dont mind ... , as for the quality of his post if admins should ban people based on that Tl net will have 20 posters at best

Wow drones posting after a long time...
To be honest I had noticed neither carlodjins tendency to overuses ellipses nor the excessive inflammatory posts in response. Poor english certainly doest bother me, as not all of us here are native English speakers. Like Drone explained, a couple of guys commenting on his "...'s" here and there would've been acceptable, but in a thread I just checked the four posts that immediately followed his were inflammatory. I think thats just too much, and the flamers need to realize its their devoid of content, flaming posts that take up a third of the page that damage the quality of the thread.
As far as the content of his posts goes, he may be wrong sometimes, and his opinion and favorites might differ from yours, but thats not reason enough to incessantly flame him. And as Manifesto pointed out, its obvious he has a passion for the game, and thats got to mean something, right?

I still don't understand why the admins are trying to change everyone else's behavior but Carlodajin. It seems that the problem can be fixed in two ways:
-Get Carlodajin to stop making himself a joke, breaking the rules while he does it. -Ban everyone else.
If you look at his posts the English is good enough if he doesn't block the entire screen out with ellipses. The post he made in this thread about people being supportive was actually good, and if it was made readable by subtracting about 20 "..." it really would contribute something. I am not sure why the simpler method of getting Carlodajin to post like a regular person was not taken and instead we have this thread devoted to protecting him.
It's like Bizarro world. The mods are rushing to Carlodajin's posting style defense instead of fixing the problem at the source, and are using bazookas to handle the problems it causes. There is a real problem with Carlodajin's posts in terms of both quality and ellipsis abuse and I think that unless that cause is addressed directly you're going to have a lot of people upset and trying to moderate the forums themselves with constant bad behavior

I'm kind of indifferent about this whole situation, but that's mostly because I think carlodajin is a shit poster and I banned him before. Mani disagreed with me though so he was allowed back I guess.

I dont think he is a great poster either, but I also dont think he is doing anyone any harm. The reason I posted this was the fact that other people were doing far more harm than he was by flaming him. Hopefully now that will stop. I will also be PMing carlosdjini about his posting.

it's not just that several people flame him in a row it's that they all think flaming him in through quoting his post replying with .... or responding with a post using lots of ..... is "witty"
all of them even tho someone else did it 2 minutes before them I mean come on. I don't even understand what's so annoying about a couple ...'s hell maybe it's a way of writing used by him to indicate that he is rambling and then he's always rambling whatever that doesnt even matter
there's no fucking "acceptable way of writing" formula that everyone has to follow if there were, most people would fall outside it. maybe carlo falls more outside the formula some posters appear to think is in existance than most others, but there isn't one. moltkewarding can criticise every poster on the forum if you allow yourselves to think carlodajin's style is subject to critique.
flaming him for content is different tho. but out of every flame I saw directed towards him (noted that I have not been reading much), they were all geared towards his style of writing even when the content in his post was wrong.
correct thyselves before thy neighbour or whatever. its sound as fuck advice no matter how much I butcher the quote.
