I mean...it could be relevant. Eventually.
Although not for me, I already know what I'll reroll if (when) Amak'thos kills Roger in the night.

I think it's only natural to have a character or three ready for when your current one bites it. Especially in this band of misfits.

Thus far we are shitlord-free and, as such, STILL ON 2NITE.

I haven't heard any rumblings of cancellations yet, so I'm assuming we're still on.
And we'll do 8:30 CST proper this time around.

VoDs updated with the latest episode in our now-26-week story! Sorry that it cuts out at the end... my internet went to hell and cut off the end of the fight. You can hear the results here though, if you'd like.

Whelp, one of my players lost a magical hand crossbow on first use thanks to Critical Botch
Also, I'd like to express my displeasure that I'll be missing the Democrat debate tonight.

Huehuehuehue. If you're using my table, tell your player to rejoice: I meant to say that magical items lost said properties "until Long Rest." Seems a little harsh to OUTRIGHT KILL a magic item, even for me. I should probably fix that to heal any broken hearts.
We can make exceptions if you really want. Honestly, I might end up a shitlord tonight if my internet doesn't pick up (it was going at like 1 MB down all last night), but I'll blame Charter if that happens.
Assuming my intarwebz are okay, I expect we'll be on like Donkey Kong. That is, unless y'all all politically interested enough to all wanna watch the debate, which is a perfectly reasonable reason to not play D&D, imo.
Edit: Also, I'm impressed that my DMing has gone on to ruin OTHER games. Seems pretty amazing.

Oh, hmmmm, that makes it so much more balanced, but also changes what happened last night (not that I can't ret-con). It was a Lucky Crossbow that allowed him to re-roll an attack roll once per day. He missed, re-rolls a botch and breaks the weapon. The bolt ricocheted off the cave walls and impaled itself back in the crossbow, shattering the glass plating.
I'll still be present for the session, but if you shitlord then I have alternate plans. ^.^ Wave might have an aneurysm if we cancel just for American politics.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but considering how...favourably your DMing (read: rolls) seem to be working out for us, maybe the threat of some permanent loss isn't the worst thing in the world. I was kinda shocked but also strangely pleased at Soniv's loss of HP last week. Oh i have to pick a spell i frogottttttt

Your satisfaction at Soniv being smacked around may have sources other than a welcome change from Asmo's innocuous DMing, don't you think?

I know you're kidding, but honestly no. I think I constantly need the fear of death (or Stat loss lol) thrown at me to keep my yolo on check. Also makes for a way more interesting campaign when we don't all feel invincible all the time.

I guess I should just make some outright "broken" encounters and see what happens. At this point "by the book" encounter generation just doesn't work on you bastards.

Maybe I should have written "additional sources" instead then?

"By the book" rarely seems to work a lot of the time. Different parties have different power levels - also, you always roll like ass.
