Roll20 is neat and I'm glad they're doing well. I kinda wanna check out some of their content to see how it ends up looking digitally.

Might as well mention now that we can't do 8/2 either because my stuff hasn't arrived at my place yet. So 8/9 is when I'm HOPING to do the next session. Sorry about all the delays. Moving is stupid.

SO.

Here's what happened.

My girlfriend and I get a POD of 7/16. We find out the same day (after having ordered it a long time ago) that our POD, which we had planned to leave on 7/18, couldn't leave until like... 7/27. That was bullshit. We fought that and it moved 7/19. Meanwhile the precious stuff (cats, documents, some electronics like my laptop, but not my streaming computer) drives to MA where I arrived on 7/20. We fought a ton with PODS to the point where we THINK the POD will arrive on 8/1, then get emptied on 8/2 and returned on 8/3. As such, I'll be taking my life out of boxes 8/2 when I had planned to be doing so on 7/26 (the "original" arrival date).

Ugh.

tl;dr - Don't use PODS.

Edit: As for how I'm doing anything, my girlfriend and I having been living with our respective parents, who are both local, until our shit arrives. In the meantime we've been doing other miscellaneous moving stuff, like parking permits and in-state registration and other crap. Of course, with the POD delay, we won't be able to start unpacking until after we've both started our new jobs, which is hyper inconvenient and AT THIS POINT par for the course for this damn move.

tl;dr 2 - DON'T MOVE.

We didn't want to drive a UHaul and one car, nor did we want to drive only a UHaul and figure out a way to put our cats in it (not much room in the front cab of one of those). We have friends who have had decent experiences with PODS so we thought this would work. It didn't. :/

With hindsight, a UHaul would have been way better, but neither of us liked driving it out to St. Louis so we were trying hard to avoid it.

Damn it's good to be back.

Of course, I have no idea if the players think so now that they're stuck in a maze of death.

But hey, at least they won't be stuck in it for a month. Hopefully just a week!

Edit: Oh, and since we're on the subject, would anyone want to start any earlier? Something like 8 PM EDT/7 PM CDT? I'm fine with staying what it's like now, but we could also tend earlier if that makes things easier for folks.
