I love the Supplements because MTG has more common "nonhuman" characters than Traditional fantasy. and Halflings/elves/dwarves/half elves are all human-adjacent and don't count.

But DnD just doesn't mix well into the MTG world gameplay to theme wise.

Something really cool you could do for an MTG themed RPG is have custom D6's that have RWBGU +Whatever the letter for The new colorless mana is. and have costs for abilities you have to roll that way. and certain characters generate mana based on their class/race whatever.
