am i the only one who finds it annoying that every lr thread is now plagued with people saying things like "lol hopin 4 a soulkey 3 kill then reverse all kill from s2!!!". or the classic point rundown after the match is over.

please keep it to yourself. nobody cares, truly. if you think you have something interesting to say about fantasy, post about it, but keep the lr threads clean please.

i love that fantasy is causing more interest in proleague, but i just find it obnoxious.

I'm very confused lol, why is this the thing that pushes you over the edge, this is a very minor thing. LR threads aren't exactly controlled by 1 person's tastes, if they were I don't think they would be nearly as fun as the chaotic conglomeration which they are now.

Actually I have to agree with the OP

I like PL and I like fantasy PL, but it feels like majority of posters don't even care about the actual teams, games, or results any more - only what effect it will have on their FPL team...

The reason why I love LR thread so much is that watching sc alone in my room doesn't have a lot of excitement, but as I am refreshing the LR thread and I see posts like "GG!" and "Flash so Gosu!" flood the thread in real time, it brings a lot of excitement into the game, like I am there at the venue, watching the game with thousands of other fans. Fantasy posts are very similar in this regard. If nobody is posting about their fantasy team, my FPL team will just feel like a bunch of random numbers with no significance. When I see so many people expressing joy over their FPL picks doing well, or exasperated over their anti-team screwing them over, FPL just gets a lot more fun and I feel more motivated to pick out the best trades from week to week.

It's a minor inconvenience in the hectic LR threads. If anything the winner's league format and fantasy teams have lead to theory crafting about which teams will send out which players. Matches are more interesting when you have something invested in them.

... so, what features of the LR threads are you really interested in? If you don't like the FPL bits, what is it you want? The play by play which some (notably KristofferAG, who does great reporting) do, or the "YES (PLAYER) wins this!" followed on the next page by "What the eff happened? (PLAYER) threw it away!", page after page of "GG!", or even better, "Well this effed my liquibets to hell!"

Also, when do we start the Fantasy Posting League? And can we astroturf the hell out of it for points?

I mean, most of the posts are just like "EGTL is my team but I have [not EG-TL ace] as a captain" or something like that.

Gimme a post where someone goes "I hope sOs wins against Jangbi and Stork and then Shine beats him but free beats Shine because Shine went mass mutas for no reason and then FBH runs out for a loser's ceremony and January starts posing for the fanboys and oh btw RorO's on my antiantiantiteam because bandwagon" and I'll rethink my perspective.

I am guilty of this as well, and I do feel like FPL puts more fun into while at the same time spoiling the games. But it's not anything new lol. LR threads aren't exactly renowned for being a bastion of good posting.
