He's really, really fucking creepy all the time. Must be a pretty good joke, considering tonnes of people worldwide find the guy funny...

Totally took it over by putting the hosts on their back feet. Very good performance that few can actually pull off.

I didn't accuse him of actually raping anyone, he just constantly puts me on edge with the ringing of sexual predator alarm bells. If one morning there was a news story in the papers that he was behind a string of rapes I'd actually be less surprised than the default level of surprise I wake up with.

Last I checked, properly functioning dudes tend to be like predators when looking to get laid. I understand that it's no longer PC for men to act like men, but I think that your criticism is taking it a little far.

Your comments are eerily reminiscent of some feminists who purport to presume the "rape tendency" of men on the basis of absurd indicators like their proclivity to laugh at sexist jokes,

Kwark is someone who has repeatedly insisted that fetuses are parasitic when talking about abortion rights. You have to be pretty far down the militant feminist hole to bust out that kind of rhetoric.

I am a properly functioning dude in a healthy relationship and I find your assertion that what he does is a man acting like a man pretty offensive. I am a man and I don't act like that because the way he acts is super, super fucking creepy. It's not something innate to men, we're better than that and if we can't be better than that then we might as well give up and off ourselves right now. Generalising the behaviour of the worst of our gender to all of our gender and then using it as an excuse is bullshit.

It's fine for men, and women, to act like the first and it's not fine to do the second and given that the second is used constantly to excuse rapists and justify their behaviour I think that even if he isn't a rapist he probably shouldn't be joking about it. Yeah this doesn't follow. I find rape jokes tasteless, for the record, but I don't condemn people for making them. The problem here is that the people who argue that rapists are driven by instincts are wrong. If a comedian jokes about it, it's still an incorrect statement, but it's a fucking joke! If we took everything comedians said at face value and as gospel truth, we'd be lunatics. The notion that people rape because of some subliminal encouragement from a "rape culture" is completely unfounded by any suitable body of evidence. While there are undoubtedly connections between culture and the incidence of rape, joking about rape no more damns the comedian than does joking about theft, the holocaust, racism, or anything else. Christ, look at the amount of anti-Muslim/anti-Jew/anti-Black jokes there are in common comedy! Just because they appropriate terrible stereotypes from the 50's doesn't mean that we should treat them as if they were arguing in favour of those stereotypes being held.

Joking about rape doesn't suggest you are a sexual predator any more than joking about homicide suggests you are a murderer. Russell Brand is extremely sexually aggressive, but creep-shaming him because of that is essentially male slut-shaming. He is not unlike the male version of an extremely flirty woman.

Just because they appropriate terrible stereotypes from the 50's doesn't mean that we should treat them as if they were arguing in favour of those stereotypes being held. The joke in the beastiality topic about how the horses were asking for it by what they wore was a rape joke that was perfectly fine because it was parodying the kind of stupid bullshit that rape apologists use by taking it to its logical conclusion. Saying "your clothes make me unable to control myself and not rape you" isn't really a joke unless the default position of everyone hearing it is "that's ridiculous" and for about half the population (men and women) it's "sounds legit". The joke is that he's being really forward and suggestive, not that it's creepy as fuck and that's the distinction. If everyone understood how incredibly creepy he was being then as a comedian could play on that expectation but this is absolutely not what he is doing. The joke wasn't "lol, he threatened to rape the interviewer".
