Paul is a very strange fit for Kentucky, I can't exactly say I agree with him on a lot of issues but I have to respect him deeply for this act. I do have to point out that the filibuster is just tradition, it's not a law or constitutional right for senators. When it's abused by people like McConnell I feel like it should be gone, but when a filibuster leads to things like this I understand why we let it stand. (Still, people should have to actually stand and speak, not just say I object and force 60 votes without wasting their own time) | ||
