Eh what? If you can't understand why there is trust issues living apart for several years you can't have been in many relationships. Also you assume the trust issues comes from his part and not the other way around (or both). If you live such relationship and don't have any issues you are very lucky. And he didn't post this video for the "sole purpose of maintaining his e-fame." He's moving to the US and people have been bugging him about this for a long time. It only make sense to come clean and be done with it, especially since he also made it clear in the video how this would effect his content and schedule since those question undoubtly would present themself to the viewers.

First, my wife and I will be celebrating our 6th anniversary in 3 weeks. I met her hours before I drove over 3,000 miles from Texas to Alaska where I was to be stationed in the military. We maintained 2 years worth of long distance relationship (Alaska > Texas) and I'll count myself in the "lucky" category.
How he runs his business is his business, but he could have addressed all of the content related issues and living situation without telling the world about their "trust issues". So, to me, it just comes off as a stunt to keep the e-drama masses engaged.
Still wish him the best of luck. It's not an easy thing that they are trying to do.

To you it looks like that because if you said that, that's why you would do it. Therefor that's what you assume.
If you really cared about TB did it, you'd either listen to the reasons he stated or ask him.. Both way better than assuming.

while that reply wasn't really nice, it kind of fits though, doesn't it? does anyone really believe he pre-scripted this entire talk and thought about "hummm how could i make this generate drama?" i certainly don't. And the fact of the matter is, if someone opens up and you basically offend him by naming him a drama queen for it, you are somewhat of an ass. Adding to that all the other stuff that this video has generated (his wife getting massive amounts of emails telling her she was lucky that TB "rescued" her, which comes close to calling her incompetent, and well just go read the youtube comments, there's some gems in there too), and all the hate he gets all the time for anything he does by some idiots, one can understand an occasional slip of temper.
Anyhow, i'd prefer if everyone would stop telling him how to behave now, let the mods handle it. i remember he mentioned somewhere that he is aware of his shortfalls in PR, so no need to lecture him about it, it'll just get worse from that and this thread will be closed rather soon then i assume.

i took trust issues to mean potentially cheating. which given the circumstances is perfectly human for both people in the relationship and thus pretty obvious.

I have to say that I agree with you Cyde. People on the internet will judge anything at the drop of a hat, and after being in the spotlight for a while like he has been, and even after 2500+ posts on this website, he should have seen that coming.
Does that make it any less painful or irritating? No, it doesnt, but you cant be a major contributor to the game and the scene and still make comments like that. I don't really care about the comment that much but it does make me a little less of a fan. Sure I'll still watch your shows/ casts but I can't get 100% behind a person who will retaliate like that against a community that has given him an awful lot.
