Either way its a pretty sad stunt or action. If they actually want to get business out of this in the long run I doubt it succeeds. Maybe its just their idea of a shitty joke though.

The same thing recently happened to me. I was sent a cheque in the mail and asked to return the funds immediately, before the cheque cleared. The cheque did not clear.

No. The famous phrase is, (and I'm paraphrasing), ~Any publicity is good publicity~ Bad publicity is the exact opposite of good, which is bad. This is not in any way good publicity. This only hurts their organization.

Hence any publicity = Good publicity... same thing said differently...

Also you can't compare this to orb, soooooooooooooooooo different.

The orb situation blasted EG with so much bad publicity that they were forced to fire him. Can you explain that to me how it was good publicity for EG or orb? All forms of publicity are not created equal. There is a point of no return where bad publicity hurts the organization.

It's a discussion on when publicity hurts organizations. It's not different at all, because in both cases it will end up hurting the organization.

It was good in the manner that EG made a statement and obliged with the community so to speak. This made them "heroes" in a sense, they showed that they do not tolerate racism and they did the right thing etc etc. They took a stand and ppl will applaude shit like that.
