Blizzard removes high templar and puts in this new unit. Unit comes default with thunderstorm. Research includes "thunder stone" that 'evolves' this unit into a tassadar.
This is an old Brood War unit they're just bringing back. My favorite use of it was in that PvR match between two of my favorite players, Ash and Lt.Surge
Hmm... could be some kind of quick harass unit. It's main attack "Thunderbolt" could be a chain lightning attack that bounces from one unit to another close by unit, kinda like the muta. "Tail whip" could be used to automatically force a stim from marines.

The Thunderstone research cancels half-way, as if the unit does not want to evolve into something greater.
Seems more like a terran unit since the terrans already have a predator. Maybe the protoss learned from the terran predator and combined it with a sentry or a probe....

I do think, however, that the new unit can't cast storms (because there is HT already). Given how BW gave birth to Dark Archons, I reckon that the pokemon unit is a Psychic type :D

Well, this unit is available at T1, is always around, invincible - healing is free !! - and has AoE and Quick attacks, id say it fits the bill quite nicely.

Meh the real new unit for Protoss will be a buffed probe.
- Probes will be cloaked now - Probes will be able to attack Air now. - Building placement will now be done by selecting a mining probe and clicking where on the mini-map you want the new building. No lost mining time! It just warps in! No vision required! - Forge and Cannon resource and time cost will be halved!
These changes will lead to multiple unique openings in PvX games!
It's a replacement for the colossus, it has 4 range, does 14 damage, can be hit by air, it has 5 health ,200 shields, costs 200/200 and requires a robotic support bay.

Yea I know because the alternative (another random blacked out unit) is hella exciting. It is fucking pikachu > anything blizzard comes up with. Reaper a close second though.
