Nevertheless I'm going to give my 2 cents even though it will probably never be read by anyone because the thread keeps getting like 20 pages of posts every hour or so. I'm not a huge fan of EG's PR people, I do like the players but they have had some issues with PR lately. The whole SOTG/iNcontroL issue and the Puma/Milkis incident were handled poorly. Both turned up to be blown way out of proportion/had some actual reasons behind them. If HuK is indeed going to EG this whole announcing an announcement seems rather dickish move by them. I doubt EG would do this kind of hyping on Team Liquid's forum if they were to buy one of their players. The fact that admins let this thread (and the trolling + EG people PMing users with videolinks etc) go on kinda makes me hesitant to believe this whole HuK to EG thing. I know I wouldn't let them use my site to hype their new acquisition from my team (even though tl.net and Liquid Pro team are trying to separate themselves a bit). Also the White-Ra speculation. He signed with tt ESPORTS only a couple of months ago. Why wouldn't EG have signed him when he was a "free agent" rather than now spend money to get him off his contract (SteelSeries and ThermalTake are competitiors so I doubt there'd be co-operation/co-sponsoring). The EG is forming a GSTL team with other foreign players seems sort of unbelievable to me. The first price is only ~28000 USD divided to all the players and could have lots of conflicting dates with other events like MLG. New EG league sort of sounds the most believable, but they did just start another EGMC so I dunno about that one either. IMO people are jumping into conclusions too much. Also stop saying EG is "poaching" HuK. Even if it turns out he's going from Liquid to EG it's not "poaching" it's trading/buying/free agency. The whole Puma thing was managed to make into something way bigger than it actually was by misinformed posts. | ||
