I think you are misconstruing the meaning of "troll." Instead, the more proper term used in place would be "lurk." The act of trolling is to post controversial and offensive posts in an attempt to gain a reaction, while lurking can be seen as the complete opposite. Lurking is when you join a forum (or any other community really), and just read other people's posts instead of posting yourself. I disagree with your stance on teamliquiders. You don't need to be in grandmasters to understand the fundamentals behind the game. Also, the strategy forum is heavily moderated, therefore any blatantly wrong advice-posts will be warned. It's not as bad as you think. Adding player level in profiles would result in derogatory posts made towards the lower level players who try to participate in the community. Have you not seen what the official SC2 forums look like? One final note: for someone who writes so strongly from a reader's standpoint, have you ever thought about using language less verbose to communicate your point? This is an international community, and while English is the major language used here, it is not the first language of many intelligent or high level posters on TL. | ||
