ive been a member of this site for 2 yrs and i will add that the statements are not explosive, but rather progressive. i hardly post much, and about personal matters like these even less so. 2nd... i dont care who is influeced by me saying that , i just dont like , not so much his statements, but his intentions. and well im sorry if my words were a lil too harsh but those were my sentiments exactly. i only feel justified in what i said by observing the manner of how baal posts and the way he choses to direct them. | ||

Essentially, I think, nothing is a "waste of time", due to the fact that from every occurance there is something that you can learn and apply universally, just like what you said, knowing that you can do what others think is impossible, however, on baal's side(maybe I've deviated to far at this point, but alas) I think he simply means there are many more practical and realistic things that could have proven to be more of an aid in the future when he will move on to other things, that may have given him more realistically usable things to apply in terms of his future(which seems to be quite important to baal). | ||

0_0 Anyway, basically what I mean is, I think baal thinks there are 'better' things he could have done with his time, and it seems to him this is "dumb" because of that. One example would be, using his analogy from one of his previous posts, that face-lacking lady that entered the beauty pageant. I think one of the things that he was saying (I say one of because it was quite clear he was placing emphasis on the assumption that she was doing this because people thought she didn't have a chance at winning) was that there are so many better options that she can do with full regards to her limitation like... well, without a face, I don't know if she can see, but anyway, she could get more schooling with the money and time spent entering the pageant, which may prove more beneficial to her than going to the pageant, she could spend time learning how to, well, basically do anything that doesn't require a beautiful or present face, and yet she still chooses the pageant. | ||
