Really needs to be a subforum for this stuff, it's all getting a bit silly, the free ones I can kind of put up with but the paid ones should probably advertise through the advertising schemes on the site or something along those lines.
|
Title is misleading, but thats pretty cool man. However if you want my opinion you need to put a quick bio about each coach telling people what they gain from it etc. Check out www.gosucoaching.com thats a pretty good example. Also, level of play coming from each player helps alot!
Good luck with your business model though!
|
never heard of any of those people
|
Why are we going to pay you $10/hour for something we can receive for free. The reason for paying for coaching is for the experience the coach is bringing to you. We know nothing about your coaches. You are supplying the service, you should supply the information.
|
might be good if you speak korean...
edit: realized this isnt the korean proteam but rather a north american imitation. So yea, as everyone says, nobody will pay mediocre players for lessons. Don't even know why u would waste ur time posting coulda probably seen it coming...
|
you guys should become somewhat good before you coach, I know swirly and hes not that good....

when i roll everclan they always bm me

lol, you kinda did, with that thread title, Greatest Coaches EVER...
Eh, it's cool, I'm just being silly. Well i will say you have some competitive prices, for sure... What are we to expect from a session with you guys? What mechanics are you guys best at teaching? What are your playstyles you excel at? In which league(s) are you guys?
In any case, gl.

Uh not really the place to advertise your services. No offense but if someone is going to pay at all for coaches it would probably be for someone well known, master level coaching is actually pretty easy to find for free.
|
oh all the negativity
|
Ever clan is bad-mannered. The clan leader EverZtelecom or whatever it is very bm.
|
I can vouch for EverTBadcop. Ignore his ladder rating, he's actually one of the best macro terrans I've ever played. If he laddered, I'm guessing he would end up around 3300.

sure ill coach too for 10$/hour in my freetime. german or bad english! around 2800 masters and lotsa years of sc knowledge(c+/b- pgt/wgt times back then)! can i coach too pls so i can build a new bankroll on pokerstars? :D
i doubt its ok or recommended to open a thread in tl general for such stuff.

Even then, if you want to be paid for coaching you'd better have some tournament wins or presence. Any master's player could offer good enough advice to get a bronze player into diamond. If any random competent player could get paid for coaching we'd all jump on it and it'd be so quickly saturated :p People who are willing to pay for coaching will buy it from the best.

isn't this against the rules of TL? i thought u had to pay for advertising -.-

$10 an hour is nothing, minimum wage. Would be good for noobs to get started imo.
|
Yup mechanics are bad, I encourage everyone to play mouse only myself, and use strategy!
I charge 75$ an hour btw, PM me.

Word.
I would be more than happy to give some advice to some willing lower league players free of charge.
|
I've played EverPBreaK before, he was around 1k masters when i played him but he seemed like a very good macro oriented player. I was in the high 2000s and he beat me after a long game. I was very surprised when i saw his ranking, so i asked him if he had another account and he said he did. All i can really remember. Just my two cents. Xeway

The best don't coach for 10$ an hour, nearly every decent masters player probably could give coaching that is worth the money to someone trying to learn the game. The issue is that many players don't have the time to coach when they are playing and doing other things. I am at the level of these players, I have been offered money to coach, I don't have the time. They do, and I would be it is worth the money for players who want to take the game seriously but can't manage it on their own.
|
good luck you are gonna need it!
i beat everimmortal in a tournament in mountain view a couple months ago, wasn't very impressive. If anything, your team should concentrate on winning stuff to get your team name known, then offer lessons. I can't see how helping lesser players will help you get better as a player, coaching and practicing are two completely different things. So again, I recommend you guys get better first, win some tournaments then charge for lessons, otherwise people can just get lessons for free.

Xeway, first post, just joined today? Even if well intended and not fake testimony it still isn't worth much :-/

well imho its nice that cheaper not superstar coaches exist. the guy that pays can expect full commitment during that time.
i have no clue how the free coaches do it but i guess it is different. if i was coaching for free i would maybe take one or two and do some random sessions when im in the mood and have time. when someone pays me to come on at a specific time and do what he wants its a different story.
so really no problem with random master guys trying to do it. but this isnt the right place. also it seems like a huge gamble cause while he might tell you specific things he might not understand the game as a whole enough to give real insight since that can be kinda unrelated to your rank esp in sc2.

Uh... I've never heard of your clan so I'm fairly confident you don't play at a very high level. Why would anyone pay bad players for coaching?

You can in fact post the first day you joined unless something has changed. But on topic, some more info will be needed about these players and maybe a website link something more then names and a price

its ok to say u don't like something, but don't act like a 9 year old kid with some kind of disorder please.

I know the title is somewhat misleading and i apologize for that but please don't attack it. For me personally i am offering couching to try and get myself back in the mood to play more. Also i don't think judging someone on there skill can be done by only playing one game against them.

Then get on a chat channel and offer tips. Don't expect people to pay you $10 an hour for a service they can get for free from more qualified players.
