Hey everyone, as my 10000th post draws near I feel like I should actually do something this time even though most people don't care. My idea was to do 3 guides, one each for my 9998th 9999th and 10000th posts. Please vote on which ones you would potentially want to read. However, I mixed in other alternatives as well. I will do the top 3 choices. I wanted to make this a surprise almost, but I figured it'd be better if I got some consensus on what people want so that more people will potentially enjoy reading. If you guys don't care, it's cool, I understand, just select that option and it will make life easier for all of us. Also, if you have an idea you think is good, you can post it and I will consider it.
Poll: What should I do? (Vote): Guide on how to sell/smoke weed efficiently (Vote): Guide on my approach towards female attraction (Vote): Guide for working out well at home for free (Vote): Guide for offensive soccer skills (Vote): Guide for snowboarding (Vote): Guide for procrastination without consequences in college/HS (tips and tricks) (Vote): Update my recent blogs that I stopped updating (Vote): Write a new blog about the past few months (Vote): C- PvAll guide (Vote): Don't care, go fuck yourself.
Thanks for your time TL~
EDIT: If mods think one of the subjects is inappropriate (particularly the weed one), please let me know and I will put up a new poll or something.
Guide on how to sell/smoke weed efficiently Guide for working out well at home for free Guide for procrastination without consequences (tips and tricks)
I would vote against another strategy guide. Rather do something thats a bit obtuse and largely ignored. The weed, procrastination or a new blog about the past couple months are my choices.
Why not? Lots of people out there doing it, I thought I'd give some experienced advice. If people are going to sell weed just because they read my guide, that's their choice imo.
EDIT: Also it's one of the few things I'm good at so yea.
sit on the couch. no, i mean really sit. lean back. take a hit. lean back even further. start to fall into the cushions. reach for the remote. have cheetos on standby. take a hit. fall asleep with half chewed cheetos still in and around your mouth.

beef? yeah im ready to tussle if you are
but also i think a guide to smoking weed efficiently would make me laugh. be sure to include snack choices. i enjoy yoohoo chocolate drink and cold pizza but not those two together because thatd be disgusting. chocolate pizza? great on paper, terrible in reality.

that's how i beef
I meant something more like how to sell weed efficiently (fronting to people you trust, delivery methods, money management, how to talk to dealers, how to market, etc.), and how to smoke efficiently/pleasantly (what methods I think are the best, how to roll, how to make spoofs and bongs and other smoking paraphernalia, etc.).
By beef I meant if you had some sort of personal problem with me that you would like to express in a better way than what you're doing, but I guess that's not the case.

I've been pretty good for a few hundred posts I think, been posting less and trying to not post while really fucked up as much. Should be fine. Next one is permanent anyway.
write a blog about why you're so defensive and sensitive =p , maybe you don't smoke weed as efficiently as you thought cuz you always seem so uptight to anyone saying something remotely critical of you, even if its obviously a joke (chobopeon), or all the bullshit I say

Even if it's a joke, it's unnecessary, and I wanted to minimize the amount of unrelated shit in this blog. Sorry. I'm defensive because I'm used to the repercussions of my asshole behavior, so every post in unrelated places (like this blog) that seems negative in nature I classify as an attack against me for something I did in the past. I thought I was handling it civilly, I guess not. My bad chobo. Maybe has something to do with my anxiety disorder as well.
I would be defensive too if so many people came at me so quickly, lol.

This sounds really interesting, I hope you choose this topic.
Go with what you know, weed guide. I'm also interested in the soccer tips if you have good knowledge of that. I don't have any good suggestions at the moment.
Just write another story man! the last story about drugs, women and having a "don't give a fuck" attitude was awesome.. well if you mellowed out then it's pretty okay, just write about selling ganja w/out getting caught

Things have picked up a bit every now and then, although I have replaced all my drug habits with weed and alcohol 12 hours a day.

Just kidding. There is no point in writing if the people who care enough to look at a blog by me will not care enough to read what could amount to hours of work.
Here is the thing about the haters? I really don't understand why these guys hate fana via that much? I mean yeah at times he can be douchey but he I checked out some of his posting history and by the looks of it, he is really a very nice contributor to the community. If he ever gets banned it could be another 30 days or 90 days I guess but not a tempt ban. We've clashed HEADS once but I was really a noob back then (which didn't really changed) and I don't care who the hell I troll..
But I see this guy as a really nice dude and you can learn a lot of life changing experience even though he is just 19 and I'm 25 that has never induced any hallucinating chemical ever.

I like you, but this is funny coming from a troll
just write you hippie, im bored and have to go back to work and can't watch my bond marathon.
There's a whole bunch of people here who would read what you write, even if they didn't vote for it. Hell there's like 500 views and the blog is only 2 hours old
fana dont become an emo martyr, "oh no people voted dont care" rofl. of course people voted it, just about every time that option is in a poll, it will win

It's different when whether or not people care means whether or not spending hours making guides matters or not. There are more people saying they don't care than the top 3 other options, I don't think I'm being an emo martyr but more of a realist.

Yea but in this blog people get to numerically express how many of them don't care, which is always appealing.
Dude, don't get discouraged. Everyone will read your guides whether they voted for them or not. Go for the college trifecta IMO: procrastination, working out, and the ladies. Happy 10K and try not to get banned!
Just because people voted they don't care doesn't mean a well written piece can't be a hit.
Imagine a literature nobel winner(before he actually gets the reward) asking random people what he should write about. People would tell him to go fuck himself along with his yet unwritten book.
I don't really like any of the options in the poll. If I could suggest something, I think I'd enjoy something a little more research oriented. What top players have in common that they don't have in common with less successful players in the proscene... What the life of an unsuccessful pro is like... What personality traits in general do StarCraft players share... Story of last TSL... Interviews of interesting TLers... Whatever... Just anything to avoid a girl guide lol.
Please for the love of god, don't write anything progamer/proscene related -_-. I think we get enough of that crap in every other thread. This is your blog, so make it about something that interests you which will be appealing for readers. I'd actually like something on your life the past few months or something. I think the summer blog was really good.
As for the whole "who gives a fuck" option being the most popular, that poll is kind of similar to sites like Ratemyproffessor.com, where you won't really get an even distrubtion of people voting, just those who are at the extreme polar opposites. Everyone else is basically in the middle, and when you actually do write some nice blogs, they will come out of the woodoworks and give it a good rating.

Why are you on a forum devoted to progaming if you don't like progaming threads?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this site created by a group of friends who enjoyed playing Starcraft? It's a Starcraft site first, progaming second. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Any one of the above would be great.
This exactly, these are the interesting ones IMO. Not that I plan to smoke weed while working out and procrastinating or anything...
Why work out at home, when you can be more efficient with your time at a gym.
The argument "it's free" doesn't hold up for the same reason why good clothing is considered an investment. Maximum potential cannot be achieved at home.

Some people don't have the time to go out to a gym? I would have to drive 20 minutes each way to get to a gym.

but if there are like a hundred people who would like to read a guide who cares if there are 200 or 200000 who dont care?

i rarely watch progaming. there's more to this site.
Yeah, but if you're complaining about people making progaming threads, you've got a problem. You'd be better off getting a SomethingAwful account or something if that's the case.
I dunno. I just think a random blog about his life would be a piss off of a 10,000th post. I don't mind them in general, I just don't think it's giving much back to the community. A guide on how to sell weed/snowboarding/procrastinating/women just makes me think of Totse... Like... let's think about his audience.. IN GENERAL most TLers go to TL because they like StarCraft and especially progaming. So it makes a lot more sense if you're 'giving back' to do that. If he's not trying to give back than he shouldn't even ask and should just do whatever he feels like.
Procrastination. I need to know how to put my research papers off even longer without suffering repercussions. (Currently I start the night before they're due).

I don't have a problem with progaming threads, it's just a problem when everything I see is turned into a progaming thread. Fana suggested some pretty cool topics, and you suggested him making a blog comparing what successful progamers have in common to what unsuccessful ones don't...because you know, the GENERAL TLer could really relate! It's a boring and overdone topic, imo. I think there is enough progamer coverage on these forums already that we don't need another analytical blog about why Saviour used to be the best and why he's not anymore. As someone else already stated, if the blog is interested and well written, it will be worth the read, and something given back regardless. Plus, I like getting to know more about people on these forums as opposed to some random Koreans half way across the world. Yeah they're good, so what?
Also, I think IN GENERAL most TLers come to TL because they like Starcraft and the sense of a community. There are probably those lurkers who stop by to check out who qualified for the OSL or whatever because of TL's quality, but I really wouldn't consider them true TLers. Just by looking at the sidebar to the left you can see that the majority of the subforums are centered around the community and/or StarCraft.
Personally, I don't care which progamer wins the next big tournament. I'd rather know which top foreigner wins something because those are people who actually contribute to our community and who I can relate to the most because they give us some perspective into their lives. They are posters like me and you. It would probably be amazing to chill out with Incontrol...it would probably be really awkward to hang out with Jaedong. And to me, the really awesome threads are the ones like the cake contest for SC2 beta keys. That really brings the community together and gives me the sense that we're all here because we love StarCraft, not because we like watching other people who are good at StarCraft.

Sorry for posting my opinion I was of course speaking for myself when I said I didn't like the OPs suggestions, and trying to be more than just a whiny douche bag by suggesting some things I would more likely enjoy.
Fanatacist... Don't act so hard done by... This thread is just a poll. Pick what you wanna do and do it.
