I have so many things I want to say to Iris. There is the playoffs and yet, he practiced alone for the GomTV Classic (laugh). But still, it was the day before the match so I am slightly disappointed that he didn't focus completely on the Proleague (laugh). I was worried whether he might lose, so I am very thankful that he won his match today.

From effort

Hm.

Someone is a little bitter

From Effort's post-pl interview it's obvious that Effort did not practise at all for GOM whereas for Iris Grom was on top of his priority list. Besides teammate battles always produced interesting/surprising results. bisu-fantasy, jaedong-forgg, iris-savior, etc

Iris is just an older fella hungry for a first individual win that's barely escaped him so far, duh effort

You'd think he would support his older teammate instead of half baked bitter whining like this

he said this before the matches even started

In fact, Iris helped Effort to get more practice time for MSL

I was disappointed that EffOrt didn't 3-0 and continue his hot streak, but Iris is on a hot streak of his own now, and as boring as TvT can be I hope Iris v Flash is a close/action packed final

Kinda interesting looking back. Out of a bracket half that included Jaedong, Nada, Luxury, Mind, Effort, Zero, Free, and Stork, it was Iris that made it through. Amazing what a few upsets can do to tournament results.

doesn't the extra money help it mature faster though?

Effort, nooooooo

Those were some sick games by iris, and effort looked a little burned out, and I would guess he was especially emotionally.

Will VODs of their WC3 casts go up anywhere? I would be interested in watching those.

It's unfortunate that Iris only had to practice for his one TvT match, when Effort clearly had to practice both ZvZ and ZvP in anticipation of his ace and superace matches. Effort takes one for the team, like a real champ.

Great job Iris! I can't wait for the TvT finals, I'm sick of seeing zerg left and right. Where was the last time we saw a TvT BO5? Flash vs ForGG in MSL probably...

While I like gom and it produces good games, I feel it would be better if the later parts of the tournament was played in the downtime between the all the other tournaments.
So it would be like Ro128-Ro8.
Break time! Teams go on vacation!
Ro8-onwards.

Who would have thought... Iris played really well in the series..

You can't really blame Iris for practicing more for this one. Effort had obviously to carry his team while Iris job was just to win his two games. That left him with much more time for GOM.

Anyway, I am really happy to see TvT in the finals. We haven't really TvT series between two top T players in a loooong time.

I think by recent results noone should underestimate Iris. Flash is right now on 10 win streak against T. Let's see how far he can push it.

Anyone notice the pattern of GOM Semi-Finals?

S1 (T)Flash vs (P)BackHo = 3 : 0 (T)Flash Wins
S1 (Z)Jaedong vs (P)YoonJoong = 3 : 0 (Z)Jaedong Wins

S2 (P)JangBi vs (P)free = 3 : 0 (P)JangBi Wins
S2 (P)Bisu vs (T)sKyHigh = 3 : 0 (P)Bisu Wins

S3 (T)Flash vs (Z)July = 3 : 0 (T)Flash Wins
S3 (Z)EffOrt vs (T)Iris = 3 : 0 (T)Iris Wins

It's because no one gives a shit about this tournament

BULLSHIT, Its because umm well lets see Flash is way better than Backho and was in god mode back then same for JD and shuttle. Free sucks pvp relatively so getting 3-0d isnt a suprise. Bisu was in rape mode and skyhigh was still green and you had maps like Medusa thus 3-0. Flash 3-0ing july isnt that suprising, but it was julys late game that cost him games. Effort vs Iris is only suprise 3-0, Personally I thought Iris had a great shot, lifetime TvZ 59.1% coming into the match is nothing to scoff at, not to mention hes playing great SC and effort is his teammate, the experience factor and good builds/timing lead to his victory.

But yea really plays dont give a shit about a large cash prize yea that must be right. Though its funny how when everyone's player loses all of a sudden the guy didnt give a shit about GOM. LOL its all about the $$$$$$.
