Jaedong did it in september to october of last year. eh he isn't playing as good as he use to (which brought him to number 1 in PR). Check his win/loss games recently as i dont wanna release any spoilers but he hasn't been his typical self this month... or i SHOULD say the second half of this month as PR were released late..... (now that i think about it since PR was released late he may get #1 two consecutive games in a row although i predict skyhigh and leta to move up considerably high)

Movie would have overpowered Jaedong easily later on if that three step attack of hydralisk lurker drop, mutalisk snipe and the final doom drop didn't work out. Most zergs would have pressed SD instinctively trying to delay their death, but if there's one thing Jaedong does in the face of defeat, it's attacking with all his might. And it's quite a fierce attack too. that's very true. it's what is currently seperating jaedong from other zergs; when other zergs are that far behind they just delay their loss as much as they can. they still lose jaedong will find away to turn the game around, and given his incredible control, it works out far more often than it should he is a megabadass

I definitely agree with you that Jaedong over relies on his mutas. However, I don't think you can say that his macro style is "bad". The low econ games that Jaedong wins just showcase how good his micro is and thus you think he should just stick with that strategy. Combine that godly micro with a stream of endless units and Jaedong is unstoppable. The first game he lost because Movie tricked him and found an opening just as Jaedong was about to start pumping units. Either way, if Jaedong can continue to play at such a high level we may be seeing the GOAT of starcraft!

Jaedong wouldn't have lost his first game had he used scourges to keep the corsair count to a bare minimum. His scourge micro was off, but his game plan was "set" for his usual top notch condition where his mutalisks are free to snipe the zealot archon army.

The map pool also happens to change in April with the start of a brand new season. Coincidence? I think not.

To be fair, one of the maps is hardly different (Neo Medusa) and one is obviously not the most foreign (Destination). His only excuse if that were the case would be A Garden of GOD but he won so :>

Like I said, Jaedong looked really tired, and wasn't his usal crisp self.

(those games are the two games he had to face a new build and didn't have an answer for it, but my guess is you won't be able to do it one more time, and the last game is the cannonprox on outsider.) Jaedongs not slumping yet, just shown some weak games in a row, happens every once in a while to all dominating players.
