Bisu might've thought he was supposed to grade Jaedong's playstyle as opposed to grading skills.
Minimal effort.

Totally agree.

that's a bit fanboyish of a comment... but heck, I too agree

That's not "a bit fanyboyish". It's like 500% fanboyism. Sorry guys, but that's the way Starcraft works. You make a HORRIBLE mistake, that just shouldn't happen to a gamer of your caliber, and you're out of the game.

What we're basically saying is that this 5th game didn't put a definate answer to the question "who is the better player?" and therefore, in our minds, the series in a sense ended even.
Of course we're not sticking our heads in the sand going "nah-uh! it wasn't fair! rematch needed"
see it for what it is
We're all disappointed and eager to see another series to settle this rivalry

Well, I don't think one Bo5 between two guys can ever decide who's the best player. Firebathero, when he's in top form, can beat ANY Zerg in a Bo5. Jaedong, sAviOr, Luxury,... you name it.
Does that mean he's the better player overall? To me their games over the last two years have shown who's the better player. It has to be Jaedong.

I think the fact that games were so one-sided is exactly why these guys are considered as good as they are, whoever made the first mistake got trounced basically. The series itself was great maybe the individual games not so much.

We saw some Ultras and Plagu, but it was one of those one sided rapes really with no chance to recover.

These guys do not forgive mistakes or give away advantages!

first game was pretty good....but JD was at a disadvantage at the beginning. He struggled to come back, but didn`t achieve that. Anyway, that game was pretty good, and it ended up with the highest tech units

I can't believe people take those 5's seriously. I mean, Bisu can be cocky but that can't be anything but a funny diss, and JD knew it or he would've had his pissed rape-face on instead of laughing. Nice games apart from the last one, but it's a credit to JD. Make an error like that and he tears you limb from limb.

As always great commentary by Superdanielman and Tasteless. <3

I closed my window after the lings ran by and I've just been sitting here semi-stunned. I feel so unfulfilled. The only thing I can think of to cheer me up is that at least it didn't happen in his OSL games. I really hope he doesn't get depressed after this. Oh well, you can't say being a Bisu fan isn't exciting... you never know when he'll just throw games away. GL in OSL, bud.

100% agree
these games were so high level it was just fucking razor thin balance that was tipped IMMEDIATELY when someone did something less than perfect, latched on to, and rode to a win.

It may make for less entertaining spectator sport games but it sure as hell made for some high level starcraft and a really great series.

5/10 my ass, Jaedong is obviously the superiour gamer

Uhhh 5/10 for defense and Macro.

The last game, it was clear that he used the '10' control Bisu had given him.

His macro was even off, as he sent 6 more lings instead of 2 -> 2 -> 2

no, it was because he didn't expect to get control over the ramp. He made those 6 cause he did to kill bisu. Otherwise those would have been drones.

Which begs the question, why wasn't it drone -> drone -> 2 lings?

Drones earlier means earlier mining time. Fact is, he got three larvae, quite crucial in that early timing. Unless he was waiting what he could do with the lings there, my memory seems a bit hazy but he should'nt have had three larvae like that.

Edit: To defend my seemingly fanboy comments,

I never liked Jaedong that much but always respected that he was a scary scary player. After seeing Bisu on Andromeda though, Bisu looked like he could beat Jaedong. Congrats on Jaedong though, hoping for an epic OSL Final between these two.

probably because he wanted to save the larvae in case he could bust up the ramp, show's good adaptability imo and it's not that great of a sacrifice if he's forced to make the drones a bit later. I doubt there was any missmacro from jaedong that game.

Hahaha say what you want about special match blah blah blah, fact of the matter is Bisu failed to block his choke TWICE. He actually might have made a game out of it had he properly blocked his choke the second time seeing as how JD was just purely streaming lings at the time and had like 8 Drones total (check the supply counter), and didn't kill the expansion Nexus either.

Bisu is the greatest Protoss player of all time and one of the best players ever no doubt, but that was just hilarious and totally, completely inexcusable.

It really comes down to this: if someone posted the last game's replay on TL and asked for help, they would have been laughed at and the thread would have been closed. That was terrrrrible under any circumstances.

True...

We can agree that game 1 was not rape. JD defended and pushed bisu off time and time again while harassing here and there. JD was always a threat. If bisu commited to an attack and loses his units, he's dead. If bisu loses his bottom right expo, he's dead.

Game 2 JD raped
Game 3 Bisu raped
Game 4 JD raped

Game 5 you know what happened.

You're probably right, even though he was quick to give 5s he was also quick to give 10s. To be honest the scale is pretty stupid anyway. every top-ish tier player has straight 8-9s I think the Bisu scale is better, lmao. At least it shows extreme strengths and extreme weaknesses.

Both players played marvelously indeed.. Small mistakes are slowly to cause the game to turn out one-sided.. IMO, all five matches are genius..

Game 1 was Bisu > Jaedong almost the entire time, Jaedong was fighting an uphill battle and although he was doing a good job of it, I don't think he ever really stood a chance. It wasn't as bad as the other 4 games, but I wouldn't call it close.
Peace~

Both players played fantastically today imo. The games themselves weren't that exciting but I guess that's what you get when you pitch two top-caliber players against each other. However the series was tense. I don't really think either player showed any clear weaknesses in this series, they just showed that some of their strengths were stronger than the other's.

Here's to hoping for OSL rematch!
