If we lose, we'll just say TOSU. It's like Tofu but more awesome.

MatchupOSU <Versus> U Chicago Ancestral < Longinus > Proteus ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/images/Picon_small.gif) <Wuthering Heights> <Python> <Andromeda> <Destination> <Blue Storm> <Chupung-Ryeong> Results+ Show Spoiler +
Game 1
Ancestral vs Proteus @ Longinus
Ancestral starts with a standard 10/12 gate opening
While Proteus_ goes for one gate tech
Ancestral anticipated DTs, but Proteus_ goes for fast leg speed. I guess at UC, this is how they play StarCraft...
Proteus_ valiantly defends with his probes, but goon micro, leg speed, and a few probes cannot defend from 2 gate zealots apparently.
Ancestral dutifully builds a robo in case of oncoming proxied DTs, but alas there was no such threat. OSU's resident gosu, Lyra[pulse] congratulates Ancestral on his sound victory. There are allegations that Stork may have been smurfing on Ancestral's account...
OSU 1 - 0 Chicago
Game 2
Ancestral vs. acolderwar @ Wuthering Heights
U Chicago bringing the bm, impying that OSU's only chance for victory is "luck."
Ancestral goes for a two gate range build, attempting to apply early pressure, wary of the fact that U Chicago has already pulled out their ace player for game 2.
acolderwar responds with 2 fact
Ancestral sniped an early tank, but careless micro causes the lost of his early goons to SCVs. acolderwar goes for a vulture runby, and Ancestral is forced to pull probes. Things are not looking good for our Protoss player.
And it ends in rape. With two probes remaining and two Nexuses remaining, Ancestral goes for one last futile attack before conceding.
OSU 1 - 1 Chicago
Game 3
dasanivan vs. acolderwar @ Python
OSU decides to send out 220 APM Terran Korean Python expert dasanivan to try and unseat ace player acolderwar.
Inspired by Flash's recent play, dasanivan goes for a 14cc build. Given the cross positions, this may benefit dasanivan.
acolderwar attempts to take advantage of the greedy play by bunker rushing, and dasanivan responds with a bunker of his own, and also manages to snipe acolderwar's SCV
Both players go for a 1 fact port builds, but dasanivan builds a tower for early cloak
Unfortunately for him, this means his Wraith is slower. And botched timing on a factory and his first tank leaves dasanivan unable to defend against acolderwar's push.
OSU 1 - 2 Chicago
Game 4
OrderlyChaos vs. acolderwar @ Andromeda
On Andromeda, OSU sends out Zerg OrderlyChaos. acolderwar decides to go for a mech build, as is all the rage with the kids these days
OrderlyChaos chooses a muta build with early Den
But acolderwar's early vulture drop brings much rape to OrderlyChaos' drones
Observers comment on OrderlyChaos' apparent lack of "units," which are considered integral in modern StarCraft strategy. However, OSU's game sense extends far beyond such trivial concepts.
But unfortunately, our next-level thinking does not prevent masses of Goliaths from raping the Zerg hero.
OSU 1 - 3 Chicago
Game 5
Lyra[Pulse] vs. acolderwar @ Destination
OSU now has only its own ace player, Zerg gosu and representative of the Ohio State University's Jewish StarCraft scene Lyra[Pules]. Being a straight up gosu, he does not fear U Chicago's ace player, and decides for a straight up opening. Will he be able to save his teammates?
acolderwar, thinking he is a Korean progamer, decides walling in is not necessary, and Lyra[Pulse] punishes his misplaced bunker and lack of wall-in by destroying his refinery, which seriously slows down his mech opening.
Lyra[Pulse] has a near homosexual love of raping mech terrans with hydra drops, and it seems this is his plan.
Constant Mutalisk harass prevents acolderwar from being able to take his natural for far too long, and Lyra[Pulse]'s five bases and persistent macro allow him to roll his opponent with ease when he has built up a sufficient army.
OSU 2 - 3 Chicago
Game 6
Lyra[Pulse] vs. StikerS-Kana @ BlueStorm
Now I don't know much about ZvZ, but maybe you can figure it out from this picture. Gosu Lyra[Pulse] has an egg and a Spawning Pool building.
While this is what the other guy is doing.
Kana gets his lair at this point
Whils Lyra has yet to start his.
Kana gets this kind of building
Lyra's lair has just completed
Lyra does not hide the fact that ZvZ is his least favorite matchup. But as you can see from all the purple outside Kana's base, we will soon see a display of his micro, which I guess matters in ZvZ.
With 10 population, 6 of it being Mutas, it's a fair assumption that Lyra was successful in his ling harass versus Kana. I guess U Chicago MICRO doesn't live up to their team name.
With brutal scourging of his opponent's overlords, Lyra manages to put Kana's supply in the read
And take and secure an expansion. With few drones and being forced to produce an Overlord, this seals Kana's fate.
OSU 3 - 3 Chicago
Game 7
Lyra[Pulse] vs. st.kim1222 @ Chupung-Ryeong
It's down to the wire. Chicago played their ace early, OSU decided to send in the noobies to wear him out, softening him up for their own destroyer. Is Chicago's pool all dried up? Are they just going to send some noob to try and bunker rush Lyra? Well,"Kim" is a Korean name. So this guy may be gosu. However, instead of attempting to prove that, he goes for a bunker rush.
Lyra definitely has drone micro down to a science.
That marine barely made it alive into the bunker.
Lyra disposes of the threat, and st.kim prepares for the worst by bunkering in his main.
But it's of no use. Lyra came to the rescue and did 3/4 of a reverse all-kill. Perhaps I should take this as a lesson that instead of writing battle reports, I should be having super-awesome gosu Lyra teach me how to play StarCraft, so we don't become KTF with Lyra as our flash.
OSU 4 - 3 Chicago

Man sounds fun. Can't wait to get to college so I can just play SC all day. How'd you guys set this inter-college match up?
EDIT: Btw, which one is caller? Did he play?

Nah caller was just a gosu host/observer through the event.
Nice battle report Kenton

Lol this allkill format is somewhat unfair for universities that are insanely stacked ;( but works well for evenly matched unis

The regular season of CSL will be PL format, with 2v2's. Winner's League format is just for things like exhibition/hype matches, or off-season competitions. Otherwise Rutgers/Berkeley would all-kill us all ><

No, not 2v2
