It's only 600kpbs quality, so if you can watch OGN on Corinthos/VLC, you can watch this.

That was a total one-sided rape.

not really there are plenty of non profit organisations, athough maybe company is a wrong description for them its basically the same... fact is they should call it an investment rather than caling it donation and they should give you something in return... thats how it usually works -_-; maybe tasteless and susie can work free for gom for the rest of their lives since they seem to dig the idea of donating ^_^

streaming hi definition to everywhere in the world is costly as hell.

I'm pretty sure they're just calling it "high-definition." Not because it meets any special HD standards, but because it'll be better quality than their standard stream.

its just costy and it's cost they should cover themselves... they will get more advertisement $ because more ppl would watch the stream worldwide and it will help spread their player which is also $ because of advertisement etc, so it should earn itself back. as said before the guys running this are businessmen not some kids wanting to do you a pleasure...

It's not about his TvP. It's about his general inability to produce consistent results. I was afraid his lost to Hwasin wasn't a coincidence...he is going from "I can beat anyone" to "I can lost to anyone" just again...
Still his fan though .
And poor BackHo...I usually didn't care about him, but nobody deserves such end in any league.

Corinthos stream lags for me.
On another note: lilsusie was saying you need a network speed of 500 kilobytes/sec (not kilobit). 500 kilobytes x 8 [bits] == 4 megabit connection. Were you using it tonight?

YES!! ^^ I'm so glad you got it. I tried to use Pretty and Free in that tagline as well.

It's a donation because we don't want to have to charge you for higher quality casting. This is still in beta, we want to test it out to make sure that it will work later on when it's open to the general public.
On any website, they will have certain things available for free and to upgrade to something better, one must pay for it. So if you wish to donate, then do so. If you don't, then don't. But don't go slandering the reputation of a company that has brought you tournaments for free for over a year just because you feel that asking for a donation is shitty.

Seriously, GOM is trying to make their free service better and you're complaining about donations? Things like working on Hi-Def cost money...

I wonder how much could different team help him. I mean, there is basically nobody on FOX on same or similar level. Nada could be really good, but there is no top toss or zerg to train with. I know progamers train with pros from other teams too, but that's not the same...
It's no coincidence that the strongest (strongest based on their results in individual leagues) progamers tend to be from teams like SKT1, Khan or Lecaf, where is a lot more competetive atmosphere. Look what the constant beating from JD did with forGG. He is a total beast vs Z and even destroyed JD 3:0 in MSL final, I doubt he would be able to do this being on another team with less competent zergs. It's also interesting how his vP went awfully down after Anytime left Lecaf (even JD's vP has looked shaky recently).
Maybe even Flash recent not-so-top performances in starleagues are results of this. When he won in GOM and OSL, he was practicing extensively with Stork...I don't know what about now...

I agree that a good team helps the players because of better training partners and also in confidence if the team is winning a lot. I think that flash can be pretty disappointed sometimes after multiple playdays of ktf losing 1-3 because he is the only one winning. But despite that i still think its mostly up to the players. FBH is very good against terran and zerg but sucks against protoss despite the fact that he has jangbi and stork, arguably the best pvt players, to train with. KTF also has mostly zerg players behind Flash and his tvz still seams to be his weakest matchup. His tvt is almost 70% while the other terrans on his team are significantly weaker.

Well, depends on the connectivity. You see, I for example did some random internet speed test on a european server and it showed 2200kbps like it should. Immediately after that, I tried the GOM speedmeter and duh, it showed 53kb/s. Thoughts? No need really, the normal stream is good enough for me, I just wish someone could invent a better internet

Well looking from GOM's perspective however getting this done through donations is alot better since they can advertise with a HQ stream and give potential viewers a nicer stream as to where a HQ stream that needs a subscription will not likely attract new people. It's just weird how the GOM spends so much money on prize money and staff and equipment/studio and then cannot afford some streaming... Now I know TL has got some 'rich' ppl, but the majority is just normal and it's rather sad to see them pay for something GOM should be paying for and GOM will have advantage of as well. If it was something that GOM had absolutely no advantage of I could see the need of donations, or if there would be no commercials on this stream, but im afraid that is not the case and thus I see this as quite a bad move. They they bring this stream for free is not really something they do out of charity or love for the fans, it's something they do because of exposure and because they think it will make them money on the long run. Anyway enough drama i guess, I felt like expressing my opinion since this isnt the first time things are presented as "for the community" while in reality i doubt they really are -_-;

Just don't pay if you have such a problem, the regular stream quality is pretty good anyway.
