Hwasin 8 rax'ed and fe'ed when Type-B fended off the rush fairly nice without looosing to many drones. Both macroing now and TYpe-B going 2 hatch mutas.

This is definitely STX's strongest possible line-up IMO, their top four individual players in July, Hwasin, Calm and Kal. If they can find some consistency I would back them to do good things this season

It was a freebie. Medusa is good statistically ZvT so far, and type-b is like, 6-1 ZvT.
The odds were really against STX.
But I think HwaSIn still had a chance later in that game if his army didn't die. Type-b had like 13 drones and was power driving the Muta/Ling production, so even though HwaSIn was low on SCV's he had 2 CC to pump them if he had position near the turrets and bunker when the Mutalisks jumped in to attack.

Really? Hwasin has been losing a bunch of TvZ (he went 0-2 against a group of zerg in one of the leagues). Add that to the fact that type b has been making leagues, you get an easy game for ogn.

HwaSIn played pretty good verse Effort in GomTV. The first two games were excellent.
The last game was really homosexual though.

Oh holy shit, I didn't realize type b was such a matchup player... I think I just peeked at his overall win/loss ratio one time (back when he was well under 50%) and discounted him as easy prey for a veteran like Hwasin.
I absolutely have faith in Hwasin's tvz, even after a couple shaky games, but given the map and how strong type b is zvt is I retract my statement. I still wouldn't agree that it was easily OGN's game though... I would place a hwasin vs type b bo5 at even odds if the maps were more balanced.

I don't understand why July was still making Hydras verse an army that was mainly composed of tanks? I know July has really good flanks against mech builds and nice control, but I'm pretty sure if he just massed Mutas that would have swept up that attack like nothing.
Reminds me of 3D.Notforu verse MYM.Strelok on Monty Hall, it was pure Muta verse Goliath, and the Muta just raped because Muta have balls.

Yeah, pure muta would have done very well, especially considering gogo's heavy tank army composition. July was just TOO confident in his hydra maneuvering and didn't adapt so well to gogo's strat. His attack would have worked if gogo had a civilized number of tanks.

It sucks that zerg has to play 100% perfectly in order to break that kind of push. It seems like terran has a lot more leeway than zerg in this build order.

I think july's last attack in front of gogo's nat seemed unnecessary and did alot to completely screw july by itself. But for sure mech is looking really strong. I didn't see how that game opened up though. But jaedong is gonna need to figure this shit out 'cause revolutions kill bonjwas, even though this is maybe the first revolution without a specific player rising behind it to take him out.

Calm's been doing really really well recently, but is still < 50% lifetime. it would be nice if his lifetime zvt was > 40%, but recently he's won 6 out of the last 10.

I think Calm might actually be STX's best choice here. None of the OGN team seems especially strong vs zergs but July (while being a hell of a player in individual leagues) is very prone to choking. Given Calm's impressive streak I don't think it would be a stretch.

The bunker eventually gets up, and barely survives the lurkers. Leta is safe for now. Calm has his third at top left, and is maynarding drones.
