Howie's did have some interesting limitations but they are really damn cheap right now... $9 for an all day pass, when they are open from 11AM to 2AM? That's insane. Interesting that they didn't give us a bulk discount for bringing them so much business. The "howie's crowd" was interesting as well. LOTS of young kids. I felt like an old man "trying to be cool" just by being there, lol. Like the old guy that says "led zeppelin is true rock and roll, fuck this new shit!", I felt like none of these kids even knew what starcraft was, and DOTA was the closest thing they've seen to a competitive RTS. Oh, except for that one 5 year old playing SC by himself: http://picasaweb.google.com/noelholmes/SoCalLANIII/photo#5237936473876007362 lol, kick ass base build Yea, It was funny at first that chick that worked there was somewhat condescending when I asked her why the b.net wasn't working for SC. Then later after people started playing the tourney she seemed genuinely interested/surprised at skill levels.

Your posts don't even make sense or have relevance. The LAN is over, why bump? And every other one is a racial comment with no bearing.

Anyway, yeah the systems at Howies are restricted but $9/day is freaking cheap. If you guys are interested, there's always Cybercafe Planet ![]() 1) CRT monitors (no fugly non-native resolution scaling and aspect ratio problems). 2) You can plug anything you want into the USB ports 3) You can go online while playing SC (no restriction...except the obvious categories). 4) Knowledgeable admin (me) on site helping you with whatever you need (like download/deploy custom maps, handle session recordings, etc). BTW, I am going to Blizzcon with a few of my friends (and some of the regulars at CCP). If any of you guys are going and wanna join our group, you're welcomed to do so. We'll meet in the early morning @ CCP on the first day of Blizzcon. I can't wait to play SC2 at Blizzcon and it'd be nice to see some of the pros play SC2. I saw some unit demos and was blown away by many of them, especially Thor. Freakin' siege tanks with more firepower AND anti-air capabilities. Hot damn!
