NO Bisu just fucked up from what i read

Well it looked like Bisu couldn't decide if he should go defensive or offensive and just split his zealots, had he stayed at his main with the zealots he could have repelled the attack and continued normally from there.

T1:

HOW DO YOU PLAY ANYONE BUT BEST IN YOUR ACE GAME WHAT AREYOU THINKING

Guy wins 17 of his last 19 games. Seventeen of nineteen my god

Bisu has already blown two ace games this season...he's not good anymore

Holy shit, I flipped out when I saw that result. Having an ace like BeSt should be such an advantage for T1 - look at KTF and Flash this season. However, BeSt can't win matches for you if you don't play him.

Also, the 2v2 is just pathetic. This is now its 5th loss in 6 matches, and the third consecutive match they've failed to close out a 2-0 lead and the game has gone to a fifth set. Against ACE and eSTRO it's ok to suck, but not against SouL and especially if you don't play your best player in the ace.

*head smash on wall

Edit: not so angry anymore

No it was not. He could have easily defended against the speedlings had he not tried to attack the Zerg base. The important message here is: Speedlings will be FASTER to travel your base and thus the Zerg has MORE time to set up a defense than YOU do. Had he held his choke with what he had and tried to transition into tech / whatever more standard play, the game would have been more or less open.

Exactly.

Andromeda is very rock-paper-scissors when picking races. The map is definitely Z>P and P>T. Z is the sensible choice since it does not have a really bad matchup. SKT1 probably figured that which P they send out matters less on Andromeda since the map will dictate the result more than the differences between Best and Bisu. Also, I don't think it's a good idea in general to send out your hottest/best player for every single ace match. SKT1 saw an opportunity to give Best a night off of it and went for it.

Oh and I haven't watched the game yet, but it sounds like it was indeed a build order game. Trying a strong rush against a speedling zerg usually ends up with the zerg denying scouting and either making more zerglings or making tech/drones and the toss either playing defensively or saving up zealots for another attack. This is a lose-tie situation for protoss where an intelligent zerg can make it more likely to be a loss than a tie. The situation stems from the build orders. The build orders stem from the map. A zerg can 9pool on Andromeda and still be in good position in the mid game against a FE toss while a 9pool can also decimate a 2gate toss.

guys sorry but you are talking crap- Bisu was on his way with the zeal which wasnt any kind of mistake- he just didn't know the lings were coming, he scouted counterclockwise, found the 9pool last, wtf he could do, it was pure gamble to send his first zealots without knowing the BO of the zerg and got completely out of position. Shit happens, but if he kept the two zealots in his base and waited for scout information the hole BO was going to be pointless

wow, i just watched the games, wtf was that horseshit bisu?srsly WTF!? This was almost as bad as his ace performance against Flash. SKT plz, plz, Bisu blows in ace, and hyuk was just plain embarrassing, I understand giving your Best player a rest now and then but not against one of the top teams when you're in a very close proleague race.

It really shouldn't be difficult to figure out why they sent Bisu. Evidently he's returning to decent form and his hand isn't worrying him anymore, given he smashed Calm straight up in the first game. He wasn't struggling with microing observers or any of the problems at microing he had in that game against Zero the day after he hurt his hand, so that wasn't an evident issue. Combine that with Nony's observations and you have a fairly good case to send him out.

That said however, I thought this would have been an appropriate time to either give someone like Fantasy a shot, or send Best. Bisu may have played a decent first set, but I would have thought it a bit much to ask when you had other options in your lineup.

It wasn't a bad show by Bisu however, he mismanaged the Ace game but it was in part a build order loss, or at least I thought it was given I thought he didn't scout the lings.

If you guys still don't get it... -_-;;
Teams generally like protecting their star players that are deep into a league.
There are some exceptions but SKT1 usually does this.

As long as SKT1 is in playoffs, I'm totally cool anyways. SKT vs Lecaf final would be glorious.

True, but i hear teams generally like making it to the playoffs too, and couldnt this be in doubt with the proleague standings as tight as they are, and then giving up a game to a contending team like STX, while your next opponent is Samsung and KTF's next opponent is ACE?
