Ok the map is tiamat. Kal is at 11, Forgg At 5. Kal opened with a very hardcore 2 gate core build. Second gate was built before the second pylon. ForGG opened 12 rax 12 gas fact --> rine pump --> scout when fact started. First goon out, forgg hiding an scv in the corner. Kal finds it but forgg sees the robo. Looks like the early 2nd gate was just a fake out. Kal didnt get range.

Kal pressures with his first 2 goons. Sees 4 marines and a tank at the ramp and probably suspects Forgg is going 1 fact pump --> cc --> siege. And he would be right

Kal prepares a quick reaver and starts his expo right after. ForGG takes a look around with his first 2 tanks and 4 marines and the 2 goons dance back.

The reaver is out and in the shuttle but ForGG's timing is good and his turrets were started right after the shuttle loaded up.
|
Kal double expands to the bottom left base. The shuttle arrives at the terran base but runs into very well placed turrets and turns around without even dropping anything.

Ok Kal decides to sacrifice 2 zeals to kill a tank and gain a slight amount of recon. OOoooo ForGG puts up 5 more rax at once after sealing his base off from scouting with turrets. Im noticing a trend in tvp with 1 fact cc biomech timing attacks.

2 shuttles ready and looking to harass. Kal has 6 gates or so..maybe 7 and citadel is done. ForGG has 7 rax now. Hes moving out. Kal there with 2 zeals a goon and areaver. The goon and zeals die but the reaver escapes. One tank dies. Some brief staling tactics from Kal as the ball moves on., leap frogging tanks into the center. Zeal speed ready!

Kal showing fantastic micro. Sacing one speed zeal at a time , then flying in with reaver for nicely placed scarabs. KAL MOVES IN! THE MNM BALL IS HUGE! The weakness of reavers is showing as kal is having trouble stopping this push. ANother reaver arrives JUST in time and the ball is stopped for now. Another gateway wave of speed zeals and somemore FANTASTIC reaver micro save kal yet again. The reaver is massacring mnm now. Forgg was a little sloppy there.

Starts to retake his 3rd expansion but his 2nd has to be cancelled as a bunch of MnM plus a tank show up.
Kal really needed storm much earlier but he is taking advantage of chokes and reavers to kill tons of marines... I think Kal has lost though. Marines are in the base. Robotics is down. This has to be GG

Kal loses his nat nexus but looks like he may finally push back the terran army. T still at 2 base but hes moving down to kal's only expansion to the south. He stopped mining t here with a group of mnm. Kal's starting his nat again BUt ForGGs reenforcements stop that asap. Kal clears the mnm from his second expo! Holy shit forgg is RIGHT at kals ramp and hes fucking breakingit! Kal brings his army back from his 2nd nat but its not enough. Templar tech is done with dt but forgg has the scans. The dts fall. Kal desperately trying to hold..but its hopeless. ForGG wins with a great build. He did a very nice job of dudding scarabs in the later battles.

type-b vs hero. Map colosseum. Hero at 7 , tybe at 1. Hero pylons near his choke. Zerg scouts to the south.

Tybe sends out a drone to s cout and expands to his southern safer nat. Hero checking out the build. Hes also opening 1 gate forge I guess he wasn't comfortable with the only partial wall in at that map. Hero blocks his ramp of with the zeals and makes one cannon. Type made 8 lings and is now taking his 3rd base. Hes starting to mine gas as well.

Hero's probe still barely alive and it sees the timing of the lair. Type pulls his lings back to get the pesky probe and hero takes the opportunity to move out with 2 zeals..for some reason

Hero's nat is done. Ok Hero pulled back those 2 zeals, got a core, started a stargate and killed the nat creep.

4th hatch in base and spire from type, probably just for scourge after scouting the starport.A goon will take out the overlord that spoted the tech as payback Evo chamber started, Hero sends lings fleeing as he moves out with 5 zeals and a goon. Hydra den started. +1 started for Hero and his temp archives is almost done.

Great timing on the spire, hero trying to get a look at type's base with his sair..loses it=/ Hero with nice timing breaking the 1 sunk + 14 lings at the nat of type. He gets a drone kil but now type has hydras out, 6 or so and they clear out the zeals. Hero will probably try to take a third now. And I hope he does for the sake of my LB

2 scourge lookingaround. Pylon started on the high ground near the ramp at the third as I thought. Ovie speed is done and 2 of them fly across the map and get a good look at a medium sized/smallish army hiding for the zerg 2nd nat Nexus at the third started. Hero has 2 temps and about 8 speed zeals. STORMMMM. 2 storms but the zerg reacts well and only loses a couple hydras. Ouch the morphed archon is lost but most of the zeals are kept alive. A control group of hydras looking to deny that 2nd nat. They move around the back! DANGER!!!!!

That first skirmish looked like it was in slow motion. This is a weird game already.
It looked like type-b had scourge to deal with non-existent sairs, and HerO had a stargate to pump out said non-existent sairs.
Speedlot-temp vs hyrda-lurk now though, so that's a bit more reasonable.

Zerg with 2 evos, 4 lurks done and about 4 more morphing. Toss rebuilding his 2nd nat. Its still 3 base for the zerg. No queens nest yet but zerg actually has 3 evos.

Zerg moves around to the back of the nat again and looks to shut down mining w ith lurks but hero has obs ready. So the zerg runs The p army is chasing zerg back to near the middle. They meet near the protoss 2nd nat. WOW HERO SLAUGHTERS THE ZERG ARMY SO EASILY with a few well placed storms. Sloppy from zerg there. A large protoss army...3 control groups of zeal/goon/temp is moving towards the newly build zerg min only. Lol wow this zerg pretty much sucks He easily loses the min only without even trying to save it and lets the protoss get up his ramp onto the high ground. P showing great micro + storms as he moves up the ramp further, slaughters every single zerg units and proceeds to easy rape this newbie zerg
After about 30 seconds of him throwing small zerg armys into the protoss army at his 2nd nat tybe-b types gg

Second game was not worth watching Game one; kal did not have the time to get storm after commiting to reaver --> double expo.

The first 5-8 minutes of the second game had me extremely confused with that weird 5zeal 1goon 'timing' attack and the missing corsair, but the rest of it was pretty standard play, if a little bit less polished than we're used to. Not really worth the watch. First game was amazing, though.

Map othello. ForGG looks nervous, fidgeting in his chair. Hero at 5, ForGG at 11.

ForGG depots --> 12/12 rax/gas same time ---> scout. Hero something like 10 gate 12 gas 13 core. Fact started, 1 scv in gas. ForGG will most likely FD.

Quick range after second pylon. The probe takes a look at 2 rines at the T ramp and runs. ForGG hiding his scv above the nat behind the large mineral. 4 marines move out and take out the probe there before it can run. A probe kills the cowardly scv

CC placed after 4 marines. 2 goons moving now to the T nat, but forgg has 4 rines and a tank. Nice goon micro picks off all the rines. But in that time forgg got 3 mines down. Obs are almost ready though. Hero's build designed to counter fd. Lets see if he can make it work by hitting before siege. A vult nicely gets in and sees the nexus timing and gets out with red health

Ob out! Its at the nat as T is firing at the nat building. Theres a turret ready. Hmm looks like Hero won't even try to pressure. But forgg had nice timing on siege mode anyways.

Hero going reaver, taking a look at the T main with an ob which he almost loses. Hero loads up 2 zeals and a reaver. Forgg added his 2nd and 3rd facts and started his acad.

ForGG also has a turret near his minline and a tank. Hes harassing to the south though but forgg quickly gets tanks in place. Nice micro by hero picks off some units with zeal drop + scarab target. Hero going 2 gate carrier. Wow very very unlucky s carabs by hero and he pouts about it

The early scanners should let forgg know what hero is up too. Timing push from terran! Protoss trying to mae it look like hes taking a thrid but it could j ust be a cover up for his carrier. ForGG tries to sneak 3 vults in by they are denied. Hero doing a nice job of stalling with shuttle play and reaver use. HE WILL ALMOST STOP THE PUSH! GREAT MICRO! First carrier out. 1 turret started. Ooo the carrier gets the turret. 2 carriers now , both very low on ints. 4 vults looking to back stab.

Hero knows about the starports. The goons and carriers run to the north east and around. Wow I guess the top right base wasnt scouted Its still there despite the fact it could be asily killed by carriers. Hero has taken his min only on the right side. About 6 or so wraiths "massed".

As protoss attacks that base ForGG unsieges his massive tank army and moves out. About 5 wraiths try to pick off some trailing obs but there are too many. The T army sieges up behind the protoss 3rd again. Hero has only 5 carriers his a ctually in deep shit. He cant really engage. Too many tanks.

I have the english version from GSI, but I don't have the live channels anymore and the GOMTV net site doessn't show any live games etc. Would be nice if there was a pinned guide constantly updated for every change.. it's getting annoying updating the method so frequently.
Any way to watch this besides yaoyan (chinese internet is.. GG)?
Yes I searched several how to watch gom threads etc, but couldn't find anything recent .

The terran third is almost mined out. PROTOSS COUNTERS!! ForGG unsieges everything and returns hope. SCVS being slaughtered. ForGG has to be close to limit. 1 tank harasses the min only at the right side but its taken out. Hero desperately needs time to mass more carriers but he doesnt have it. ForGG relentless. Hero is playing pretty well though, not wasting his army too bad and trying to weaken the gol numbers while avoiding the tanks. Really needs storm there. Damn the terran army is fucking huge. The int count must be low. A carrier drifts into vult fire.

Terran realizes he needs more and runs to regroup his goliaths in hopes of being able to stop the int numbers. P moves around and hits the scvs long distance mining at the mid expo. 5 carriers for Hero. NOw Forgg will longistance mine at the left side min only instead. A vult catches some longdistance mining probes but 3 goons take it out. Ok ForGG has amassed a huge group of gols again and landed a cc (from his main?) at the left side min only. About 24 golsor so and 6 tanks. Hero tries to pick gols off with carriers but quickly realizes there are just wayyy too many gols. Hero GGs.

Honestly this was not a GG =/ It was entertaining but Hero played like a fucking idiot. He couldve shut down that 4th base about 10 minutes earlier than he did and sealed the win. That was a rookie mistake.
Props to ForGG though for having the foresight to make the hidden expo realizing he needed to do something out of the ordinary to put himself at an advantage after the damaging carrier harass.

You can watch the GSL in english with the korean gom player (I have korean gom and do so)

Freaking HerO HAD that game too. If he wasn't so cocky he could have scouted the top hidden expo and (maybe..) scouted the wraiths before getting totally caught off guard by them.
While it looks like HerO just had bad luck not seeing those two things a little sooner, a better player would have had it scouted and finished the game much quicker.
It was a GG though and was fun to watch. Glad ForGG won keke

It's true that Hero didn't scout well enough, but it ended up being a close game because of it. How often do you get to see tons of workers on both sides distance mining? Haha.

ForGG floated his main CC to 9 o'clock, not 3. Easy mistake to make.

I believe the game was lost when Hero eventually scouted the 1 expo and then moved aaaaall his huge army there to take it down both ground and air. forgg saw that and went to attack with all of his own army at the expos. and once he was there with so many tanks sieged up at a great position taking down the one of the expos first and a bit later the other one too hero could never really do anything to kill all those units, neither could he dare take another expo anywhere else

the unscouted base was serious but not a grave mistake. there were few scvs there so the base was well functional for a much less amount of time to make that big of a difference. outpositioning the whole army however helped forgg to put himself in a checkmate position

Gateway before cannon. Walling the northern part of the choke. 3rd hatch in main. 4 lings spawn and ignore the probe, running straight for the protoss nat. Kal gets 2 cannons. 1 finishes before lings the other not ready yet but kal nicely blocks te bottom opening with 2 probes so lings cant run behind the mins.

Kal has his probe alive in the zerg main. Sees the lair timing. Hes going core himself. Zerg has also taken the gas 2nd nat.

2nd gas just now started for type. NO stargate, quick citadel, 3 more gates from kal. The overlord sees it so type skips spire and gets a quicker hydra den. A goon takes out the scouting overlord. 4 gates up. +1 was started naturally from Kal. Temp archives started. Some early pressure with 5 zeals and a goon.

Oh now 7 zeals and a goon. Speed still now done yet. Bam there it goes. Zerg has only about 8 hydras. Ah nevermind, there they are...16or so. Kal sees t he numbers and does not commit his army. Kal cannoning his main just to be safe. The openings are actually pretty damn good for type. A speed ovie checks out the toss main.
However went kal gets his temp numbers up tybe b will need to have lurks ready or he could be run over. 3 temps out now.

Lurkers ae ready in time! BUT FUCKING KAL IS AN EXTREME BADASS(and/or really dumb) AND RUNS BY INTO THE NAT AND ST ORMS DRONES lol. However that was probably a really shitty idea...as a counter drop is fucking up the main some. 1 lurk and 3 hydras lived after the cannons feel. Goons pop though, clear the hydras and an ob will get their soon. Ok lurk neutralized.

Kal suprises me though and clears it better than I thought he would despite not having enough storm. 5 overlord drop at the main! There's the storm! 5 cannons at the main + 2 storms stop the drop at the cost of some probes.

Its a close game now. Kal needs to hold his third.
But as I type this its being harassed by a lurk on the cliff. LOlL FUCKING OUCH KAL. Kal moved his goons/temps only behind the cliff area to clear the lurk. From there he was flanked badly by hydra lurk and his temps/goons pinned and slaughtered. Some nice storms kept him in t he game but his 3rd is still being harassed. This zerg is relentless. a 3 overlord hydra/lurk drop on the high ground nat again. Shuttle is there and a s torm clears the hydras. Kal catchs some confused zerg units out of position. Tybe only at 4 bases with3 gases. Hive is done though. Kal at 3 base. 6 or so gates. Ahh fuck both nat and 2nd nat under lurk harass again. Ok cleared. KALS TURN! He storm drops and takes out 5 or so probes. DTs slaughtering drones! NIce harass from kal. Lol hes wayyy back in this.

Win or lose this Zerg is doing a great job of harassing. I will be keeping an eye on him in future tourneys

A just finished base at the top left is crushed right away. A dt tryies to sneak out of the main for more drone kills but its caught and killed. There's still a high temp above the zerg 2nd nat but aww its killed by 2 lings before getting another s torm off. KAL MOVES IN! FUCKING AWESOME STORMS SHRED A LOT OF ZERG UNITS BUT THE OBS ARE SNIPED. Zerg making a move now thinking kals out of storms. DAMN IS HE WRONG AS STORM COVERS THE REST OF HIS ARMY, MELTING IT.

Kal showing this kid whats up now as a huge near limit protoss army rolls into the zeg 2nd nat. Storms fly everywhere, zerg bodies cover the ground and type-b ggs.
Tybe-b just flat out outclassed. He had a great start but kal is just much better. Type-b crying.

Well, drops were the right move for this zerg. Both games he's been absolutely raped by storms.
Kal honestly didn't look very impressive there though.

The zerg had good drops but not the multitasking skills to make them worth it. Hes no jaedong
The idea behind early game drop plays is keeping the protoss army busy so you can take a 4th base/secure/ and use it to take a 5th so you can roll over P with macro late game. The zerg just sat on 3 base while he was harass and only tried taking more bases after his drops had fizzled out.

Hero barely survives using some great reaver/shuttle micro and some DTs, but loses the nexus at his natural.
LOL he tries to fight Kal's reaver off with some probes. Needless to say it doesn't go well.

Incredible micro by Kal with that reaver. Just not good enough against the m&m macro. Why he didn't just move his goon forward when he saw Kal mass marines? At least he would push ForGG away from hurting his expo.

Basically "How to beat Mondragon drops." Type-b, you wonder how he even qualify for the group. Great defense for Kal for deflectinig all the drops while harassing zerg's base.

Hero vs ForGG
Hero did tons of damage especially at Forgg's depot and armory. I think could had expanded everywhere especially at 7'o clock. Scouting 2 so late is not pro! The attack at the natural, he could kill the CC. this game was Hero's to lose.

Kal vs Hero
Again Hero's game to lose. Losing the reaver allowed Kal to counter attack and take out Hero's expo. Hero cries. Hero is not too bad strategywise, but seriously need to work on that multitasking skill and certain decision making. Oh well, it's better that Kal pass the group, at least Kal would go farther.
