Does anyone know the format for selection?
All I remember from last season is 4th seed is 1-3's bitch

Selection Format:
First seed picks a player for his group
Second seed picks a player for his group
Third seed picks a player for his group
Fist seed picks a player for group four
Second seed picks a player for group four
Third seed picks a player for group four
The player the first seed picked for his own group picks the next player for their group
The player the second seed picked for his own group picks the next player for their group
The player the third seed picked for his own group picks the next player for their group
The player picked third for the first group picks the final player for the group
The player picked third for the second group picks the final player for the group
The last player goes to group three
At least that is how it was last season.
Also Jaedong was the last player to be put into a group in the last OSL.

Katrina is 22-11 in favor of Protoss over Terran, Blue Storm is 29-14 in favor of Zerg over Terran, Troy looks like utter hell for TvZ and TvP, and TvZ/TvP on Haunted Forest looks like they'll be a total joke.
I don't know how they overlooked this... with only 4 Terrans in the OSL to begin with, don't look for any of them to make it too far

Haha... There was an advertisement for the OGN vs. CJ match. The OGN clips were of players doing ceremonies and high fives and what have you, and the CJ clips were of them staring blankly at the screen and each other. CJ is just hopeless at hamming it up for the camera. I hope CJ rips OGN apart.

Can anyone explain to me why it was forced that the twins go into the same group (i.e. "race rule")? I imagine that they do not want three zergs in group 1 and therefore forbid choosing another one, but apart from that?

If three race variety is enforced, the last three picks would have been obligatory, as we had:
ZZT
PPZ
PTZ
and one T,P,Z to give away. So the P had to go to group 1, T had to go to group 2 and the zerg remained for group 3.

Since B was PPZ -> B has pick Terran
So group C gets the left over zergs. Xellos was just saving time. They could have already filled in the other groups.

Well, I could imagine something like this:
Race balance rule is only valid during last three picks to enforce - if possible - making groups with all three races. So Xellos, having two zergs, one p and one t to choose from could still have chosen anyone.
Xellos chooses a T (Flash) -> Best automatically goes to group 1, but group 2, not able to pick a terran, would have had the choice between the twins.
Xellos chooses a P (Best) -> Group one has the choice between twins, group 2 gets Flash, group 3 gets leftover.
Xellos chooses a Z (w/e) -> Best to group 1, Flash to group 2, leftover zerg to group 3.
So the only pick which enforced the remaining picks was getting a zerg.

this OSL is different because we have 2 group of death :
group A and group C
and 2 group of mediore player :
group B is ok
group D is mediocre
so there will be great match but great player wont pass the group stage and we will have some newb in quarter finals

edit: and yeah Sea has the worst luck in draws. This is basically the hardest group imaginable for him, the only thing that could make it harder would be replacing best with stork. and there's a chance Sea will have to play GoRush in MSL round of 16 for a THIRD time

Cmon Steve, lighten up. You've been making a lot of posts about the imba maps toward T, how Sea is unlucky, etc. Savior had a Midas/Light/Chojja group in Shinhan3, and that didn't stop him from going through Midas, Much, Iris and Nada, almost the hardest road he could possibly do (if you replaced Much with Casy). The map pool for that OSL wasn't great for him either.
I'd be more scared of Yarnc or Luxury than Savior, who's ZvT has been inconsistent. I think Jaedong being in his group is also a positive, because that means he probably won't have to face him until the finals.
Fuck GoRush and vZ groups. It doesn't matter. Champions will find a way through it all. Just relax and let the kid do his thing. If Sea is worthy, he'll find a way.
A Jaedong-Sea finals would be absolutely ridiculous, second only in hype to a Jaedong-Bisu one. Sit back and enjoy the riiiiiiiiiide.

Well I believe Jaedong has it all to win.
Because Savior just isn't what he used to be long time ago. Thus automatically Bisu doensn't look that strong at PVZ as we used to believe. I mean many have beaten Savior, Bisu has just done it more times, but most of the credits we give to Bisu as for being n1 is for having defeated Savior. But we've seen that defeating savior is not defeating the maestro anymore.. sad but true imo
So neither Savior nor Bisu are as strong as we (I) thought...

you said it was the hardest group possible, so i was saying it's actually better to play Savior than some of the other Z's who are more in shape. right now, despite Savior's mini resurgence in his odt group, he's a big underdog to a T like Sea. sure DF looks bad but we'll never know for sure until he's played on it, and even then he only needs to win one or two games on it (if any) to get through.

savior's OSL run has to do with it because he faced a similarly difficult road vs. hard players on non-favorable maps. it can be done, and i was just trying to say that Sea is capable of doing it and there's hope there.
a lot of your comments lately about Sea have been complaints or gloomy statements about how he's unlucky or whatever. i'm just saying is to stop worrying and enjoy the ride more. the kid is really good and i think he will go very deep in this OSL.
personally, savior sucking right now is so painful to watch, i wish i enjoyed his dominant period more rather than sitting on the edge of my seat worrying and hoping very hard that he didn't lose.
and i'm not really being contentious with you, maybe you misread my tone. all i'm saying is enjoy Sea's good play while it last--less worry more happy that he's in this OSL.
