Best is ahead even though he fucked up his natural sim city.. But looks like a lurker bust.. lets see if it is that and if it is indeed.. Best can figure it out in time

Well you need god like Muta micro too, and probably a favored spawning position. It also helps that half of sSak's ground army was out on the map looking for... nothing.

If you only looked at his TvT, he would look like one of the best players in the world, with incredible macro, army movement and micro as well. But then he plays any other matchup like TvZ and barely even looks like an S rank player. In a previous ASL against Queen, he was clearly ahead but then floated 1k minerals 7 minutes in and lost, and in this round, he has a group of marines desperately trying to look for a non-existent 3rd base being completely useless Ssak is weird. sometimes his tvz and tvp look god tier as long as he gets to pull off small mind games to get small advantagesm if he is on the receiving end of small mind games he falls apart. When he gets a spot in major proleague he generally does quite well. He had an all kill somewhere in 2023.

I hope we see more of him in future tournaments. Remember how soma lost his first few Ro24 appearances before taking off really well? Hopefully that will happen again with a couple of these ammeters in the near future. I actually think TY is going to surprise us in group D and proceed with Jaedong. Likewise Speed has a good chance he will do well in E. I take Speed over Shine and Speed/Mong can go any direction. SnOw though seems certain to go through.

None of these dudes will go on to the next round, maybe Snow if he would manage to break the cycle of time itself... The others, I mean, who are you kidding, they will play about as well as Sea... But yea, I appreciate your very positive outlook for... something else...

But yea, I appreciate your very positive outlook for... something else... That's a lot for you to assume. I stay up-to-date on pros their performances on a daily basis. I know from TY that he's historically played well in online team(and stage) events against Ro24 caliber players, and that's a TY with minimal practice and activity in BW. He's been grinding practice for ASL really hard and its shown in his online performances so far. TY's been showing good results in online matches specifically vs Mind, Rush and Ssak. He had multiple close matches vs SnOw and Best, and vs lower caliber pros he won all sets. TY has a lot of stage experience from SC2 so he'll be capable of keeping himself composed and bring his best. He has the talent, he has the experience, and he put in some real hard work. Does not mean he will succeed, but I am giving favorable odds.

TY has played SC2 on stage for a decade, and had some pre-sc2 stage experience. He went through the era where it was much more popular and cutthroat. He has more stage experience under heavy pressure than almost everyone in Broodwar at this point.
