MPL and KPL were already pulling good donation numbers in 2019. Moonlight PL, which later rebranded to K2PL, and later disappeared struggled to get funding at times, but still frequently hit 100-200 per winner. University League largely brought in MORE money across the board. MPL and KPL saw an increase, but they werent struggling to begin with. Uni league specifically allowed for the lower earners to earn more. Hence we stopped seeing Moonlight PL/K2PL, because most of them saw a steady consistent revenue stream through UNI league and teams. Uni leagues increasd the amount of money, but is not responsible for there being money. | ||

Proleagues definitely are powerful on its merits, and I obviously have a lot more to learn about the scene. Arjangatang hasn't brought anything to the table that, for all intends and purposes, shows that he's well-informed about the Korean BW scene though. By "lack of talent" im not seaking about SC, im talking about real life. I know to you games are the most important thing in the world, but the rest of us got other things going on too. I am an A league Zerg on ladder but dont play anymore because I got too much work to do, but i love starcraft BW and always will support it, and have donated to certain channel's causes to support them. Why do they play the first round if the winners or ACE is the one that matters as far as the prize pool? Can someone explain to me how the proleagues function? I been meaning to ask you TMNT, you seemed to actively checked sponbbang back when the site was still online. Back in 2023, in an ASL5 map pool thread, you had PvT and TvZ sponbbang data on Gladiator on-hand (along with other maps) to support your debate that the maps were not bad for Terran, so I was wondering if you saw the ZvP data on that map too? If you did, do you happen to remember how it looked? | ||
