The correct move would be to run those lings around, poking probes, keeping Protoss busy, instead of a head-on fight with zealots.

Don't be ridiculous now. Bisu is on a level of his own.
Remember that Zerg is at an all time high of being the strongest in this meta and he STILL crushes, although his level has diminished compared to his heyday overall.
Even Mini is not as fundamentally strong as Bisu in PvZ even though he's won a title beating top zergs along the way.
Rain, however, again showing that he is a mastermind of tournament play. Constantly playing and thinking outside of the box and just confusing zergs into a middling game state where he can flourish. Also, worth nothing how sharp his control has been this whole series. There are players out there that haven't left the game for 2 years and are nowhere near this level of control.
Rain truly is a talent.
Tournaments are far more exciting when he is around.

I really wanted Soulkey to win but I can't take away anything from Rain, he played fantastically.
Deserved win and there's a higher chance that he keeps on playing now that he's seeded on ASL14

100% agreed.
Cant say the same for the rest of your post, though

FUCK YEAH RAIN ! 1 !
WP & GGs

Wow, not a big Rain fan, but he has been playing pretty nicely so far and wouldn't mind him winning this one. Regarding his control, it might be ok, but he did still lose some corsairs in one of these games (forgot think 2 or 3) because he was too busy multitasking it seemed... Anyway awesome games. This RO8 was really fun.
|
That's what happens when Rain starts playing BW again. He's championship material, if he won't win this season he will win the next one. SoMa is going to be really really hard though, guy is rock solid and really scary.

Great series. Both players had a shot to champ.Soma vs Rain will be also interesting.
|
incredible series. ggs rain! game 2 and game 5 were insane..
|
Sadly another choke by soulkey.. I cringed when he didn't micro his lings in game 5. It'll be interesting to see what the soma series will be like in comparison.

This, he wins easily if he keeps those lings alive in the main, gets speed, and forces cannon etc. While droning
He saw red and went for it but got hard outmicrod.
I feel like Soulkey played relatively poorly compared to what he is capable of this series.

HOLY CRAP rain is so clutch. That last game was AMAZING! Soulkey saw the gap left by the shield battery and made a decision but Rain's micro was just on another level.
Rain's multitasking throughout the series was also great, always sending out scouting zealots under pressure. Rooting for him in Ro4.

I don't see the LB yet My guess is Light 4-2 Bisu

After the first game I expected it will be a dry 4-0. Yet, Soulkey somehow managed to choke badly. Was really surprised by his lack of micro of those lings in the last game. Guess the pressure was too much for him.
But the next game will be completely different for Rain. Soma is the only seed remaining, he has practice of playing in the semifinal and he is unbeatable in this ASL so far. The guy didn't lose a single game, and he has a chance to keep the record intact while reaching the finals. In fact if Bisu wins the other semi, Soma has a chance to take the title without losing a single game. Don't think this has ever happened in a Starleague.
Anyway, I expect Soma vs Light finals and it will probably give some good games.

Any of Rain v Light, Soma v Light or Soma v Bisu would be a good final. PvP would be grim and might finally be the push artosis needs to quit BW.

I only meant I thought Rain was better at PvZ recently not overall to be clear

Idk, I would be pumped for a Rain vs Bisu finals regardless. The two greatest PvP battling it out in a grand final sounds good to me.
