The commenters didn't mention this but when Light was doing his 4 dropship drop into the main notice how Action had his muta/scourge bunch to counter the dropship on the far left side. I imagined Light scanned the right hand side where the dropships would land and didn't see them, then he brings them instantly when he sees the dropships catching Light completely off guard. Either amazing luck or brilliant play. I would go with the second.

Light walks his entire Marine force and all his scvs to his main...then walks alllll the way back to his natural choke and defends beautifully with his scvs+marines against burrow speedlings + speedlings comming from the left side. After gaining the advantage Action quickly GGed after Light, in some sort of miracle ended up with a better position.

Light has easy win after Action's first attack if he just goes into a regular build but he counterattacks. Action then holds with 2 sunkens and then has an easy win if he just kills all of Lights depots and macros up into muta (but maybe I am wrong here). Instead action doesn't kill 2 depots at top, spends gas on burrow, and builds a ton more lings that do nothing because of good scv blocks. Bizarre game

It's just really hard to make choices when under pressure and you can't see the map. Action clearly fully tricked Light into thinking he had gone no gas into hatch which was his plan. He expected a marine move out so he planned to counter it with speed and burrow. I think it was a very smart move(maybe not optimal with map hack but still). On the other hand Light preformed so amazingly well with his Marine + SCV ball. Even the choice to bring all scvs then walk them back together is pretty unheard of, I think most Terrans in this spot would panic and feel the need to get their scvs back as soon as possible. I really would hope people not blame either player and just appreciate having a new game that's never been seen before.

Every move Light did made perfect strategical sense, marines and scvs needs to stick together in that situation. If Action had perfect burrow placement (a inch or 2 north towards the ramp), that would of made a huge difference.

Hard to make ideal moves on the fly like that.

He just needs to not die to mutas. 4 rax and he scans the muta timing. Mass turret and win Light. Do it ![]()

It takes a lot of balls to just flat out macro only after making a huge punch almost killing your opponent. Was the better play here though. A tough choice to make. When you have someone almost dead the instinct is to continue to attack.

His biggest mistake his attack in Light's main. Letting alot of stray mutas get picked off by turrets he had no business being in range of and not consolidating his lings to focus on the bunker that was Light's only way of defending his barracks from lings. Light is truly a top tactician if you dissect his play

Light hit it. He certainly could've been thrown off mentally against early ling use though. Light's scv/marine control was amazing.

I think Action replaced the 2.5 hatch build (normally in main) but instead put it there.

Strange decision making from Action on 3rd one. When he broke nat of Light why he didn't just drone up and take 3rd? He knew he won't be able to get into main. I have a feeling Action could 3-0 this, his agressions worked very well but still threw rest of series. Of course Light TvZ is scary, especially when game goes on but Action showed he could go toe to toe vs. him on first game, even casters were chanting him Defiler Master. Pity...

Like Scan said, it would have been AMAZING to see a situation where burrowed lings were preventing T's only CC from landing properly.

I think burrow was intended to let him burrow under the main CC if the main CC were to float. But Action never damaged it enough.
