sup peeps, I'll be updating this page after each page game is done.
Starcraft starts on Sunday at 10am PST, as well as most of the other games.
Tony Hawk, DoA4 and some other game is starting tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am, I'll update those results when they come in.
The lan center is pretty nice, even has florecent lights at night, or however you spell it, so that's kewl.
iNcontroL is here already in Irvine, I got here 5 hours ago, KING from DoA4 is here rooming with me, and mnm gets here at midnight on Saturday/Sunday.
All the other sc players are driving to the event, since they live close to it.
Focus on this first page, I will just update this post when stuff is available.

As for me getting 2nd for Tony Hawk, I actually practiced really hard for this event, minimum 5 days a week since March 3rd of this year.
The guy who took 1st has been playing since Tony Hawk 2, which means he's had 6 years experience on me.
I won my my portion of the event fair and square.
Also, this regional was for people who qualified online, so it's not like I just showed up and was allowed to play.
As for the settings we used, it was on Graffiti, so let's say I did a trick off a bench, it would turn Red, and if my opponent did a bigger trick off of it, it would turn Blue.
You basically have to cover as much of the map as you can with your color, which is the best setting to use for tournaments, skill wise, because it requires you to actually use the whole map and bust out nice tricks and keep them all into 2 combo's or so, so your opponent can't steal them from you.
The setting they have where you can do it by points is really gay, cuz any newbie can get millions of points by just staying in a half pipe area, and just building up points into 1 combo.

Incontrol vs. Froz is about to start, get ready for live coverage muh fuckas.

Froz(t) top base on Gaia, Inc(z) is bottom left.
Froz opens up with 2 rax gas into factory, made 6 rines so far.
Inc opened up with early expo at front, hyrda den just finished, as did his lair, he also has 2 sunks at front.

Froz has a group of about 11 rines and 2 medics or so, and 2 tanks heading to Incs front door.
both sieged now. Bats and medics at froz's ramp.
Froz is busting through Incs sunks, Inc looks in trouble, he doesn't have much of an army, and Froz has all of his still, plus a new one already at home.

Inc had hid hydras outside of his base, and morphed into lurkers, and owned Froz's ramp, sorry i missed that hidden stuff.
Now Froz had to come home to save his base.
Inc is recovering at home, his front expo hatchery is almost rebuilt after Froz had killed it.
Inc has 2 hatches inside his base, and has contained Froz for the moment.

Froz moves out with 5 tanks and over 12 marines and medics.
he gets out of his front expo to meet Incs 6-7 lurkers come beside him and burrow, which killed 70% of Froz's army, and then Inc pulls back to safely save his army.

Froz is now at Incs front door with 3 tanks and rines and 2 medics, but get killed after about 30 seconds of trying to attack Incs front expo.
Froz is still contained somewhat, not able to expo yet.
Froz has killed Incs expo a total of 3 times, and is leaving Inc w/o any option to take more than his front expo, so Froz is technically ahead atm.
Froz comes out with his army, and is expoing to his front base.

Froz is at Incs front door again with 1 tank and 15 marines, but gets his tank killed and rettreats home.
Froz is just keeping Inc slowed down so he can't mass expo.

Inc tryed to attack Froz's front base, but got denied, Froz is dropping marines at Incs base and then Inc types GG and leaves the game, Froz held on to his front base.

Froz made 1 rax, 4 rines, then cc at his inside ramp, now has 6-7 rines, and blocked Incs attempt to get inside his base.
Incontrol has his expo with 3 sunks, a lair and a hydra den.
Both are just building up for now.

Inc comes from behind and hits Froz's front, but is met by a few men.
He got some lings in but then was killed by some new rines and bats.

g5's expos getting attacked as skew goes straight up the middle. g5 fends off. skew takes lefthand side -> 4 bases to skews 4 bases now. skews newly formed expo in middle taken down by skews massive mecha army. skew rebuilds expo once terran army leaves but skew takes control of middle. back and forth.

Froz has 1 bunker at his front base and a turret, and also a bunker aside the back of his front exp, which Inc has now attacked with lurkers and a few lings.
Inc got inside Froz's base with lings, and stopped Froz's front expo from going on, Froz lifted his cc and still has it lifted.
Froz ends up typing out after more men from Inc come.
1-1 now, 3rd game is coming soon.

Froz just tryed a proxy rax on Inc's front expo and it failed, although he killed a lot of Incs drones, but now Inc is chasing Froz's scv's back to his base, Froz's 4-5 marines get raped by Incs lings and Froz types out GG.

G5 vs. Skew on Paranoid Android pvt.

G5 is at right side, Skew is top base.
G5 goes into Skews front expo with 10 goons and a shuttle with 2 zealots and Skew only has 2 tanks and 2-3 vults with a bunker and some mines at front, G5 rapes the front and then goes into Skews base, G5 throws down 2 more gates for a total of 4 and has an expo now.
Skew is trying to recover but G5 keeps sending goons and Skew will tap out soon.

Froz has 1 fact and a starport, he went 3 wraiths with cloak and owned a bunch of scv's at Skews base.
Skew has 2 facts and a starport with expo, Froz has an expo as well.
Froz is outside Skews base with some tanks and wraiths and is attacking Skews gas from the side and using the wraiths for sight.

Froz dropped the back of Skews main bases mineral line, and then Skew grabbed his drop ship and all his units and went to Froz's front to attack.
Skew sends in his drop ship and gets attacked by 3 gols, and see's Froz's tanks and just types out GG.

skew is being really anti camera and calling me paparazzi. he is currently obsing in the g5 vs incontrol game with froz and machine and sara n her bro watching.
incontrol now has about 4 expos, going ultra ling vs g5's archon/zlot army. g5 has 3 bases. he prevented one of incontrols expos with cannons. g5 just gged.

Incontrol has hella bases on this 2nd map, and G5 just sighed when his army of zeals/archons died.
G5 is not completely out of it, but he doesn't want to switch tech, even when he can afford to make reavers, he doesn't bother to.
G5 taps out, and Incontrol win 2-0

G5 attacked the big ramp area, and killed a lot of Froz's army with the help of storm.
G5 rebuilds and now has an arbiter, dunno if it has magic upgraded yet.

Froz pushed more up the big ramp area, G5 attacked him and lost his arbiter cuz of not controlling it, and then G5 attacked with all his men, lost about 60%, Froz lost about 40% of his.

Froz is out of the big ramp area, G5 just attacked him and got off 1 storm but couldn't kill Froz's army, G5 has a lot of zeals that just popped out.
Froz has a fat army and G5 just attacked it and lost 90% of his army, and Froz was left with 90% of his army, and is attacking the bottom mid expo, which then he can hit the bottom right side expo.

Froz has angled himself so that he is attacking both the bottom middle and bottom right expo at the same time, G5 is fucked here. The last time I saw a pounding like this, was when I rented American History X the other night.
G5 taps out and he is eliminated from the event, along with Skew who lost all of his matches.

Inc keeps the pressure with a couple lurks and trys to contain from a couple different sides as well as keep Froz from getting his exp back, but Froz overcomes it and kills the lurks and gets his exp back, and then Incontrol gg's since he has 1 hatch and nothing left.

Game 2 is on Gaia, Froz opened up with the same strat as last game, but Inc was more prepared for it, and had mass Hydras by the time Froz got there.

Looks almost over for Incontrol now, Froz went to attack Incs main with a fat army with a bunch of tanks, and saw Incs drones going to the new exp, now Froz killed it and his own expo up and running, he floated his cc from natural to the front exp of his base.

Inc is making a Spire this time, I wonder if his micro is any good.

Incs mutas come out slower than usual, probably just seems that way cuz of the small map and close positions.
Froz comes with a group of mnm and 2 tanks and kills Incs hatch at his front exp, he trys to hit it with 24 lings but pulls back, his mutas don't do much as he was hoping Froz would go up the ramp and then counter him, but Froz pulled his men back to his base and is protecting himself from Mutas.

Incontrol had 1 hatch inside and making an expo at his front, he has 1 group of lings on the patrol and 2 lurkers protecting his choke.

Froz went to attack Incs base with 2 tanks and 2 groups of mnm, he was met by a counter attack from both sides with lurkers and a little bit of lings.
Froz killed 3 or so lurkers and Inc pulled back his 5 left over lurkers, Froz didn't really lose anything on that battle.
Looks good for Froz.

LzGamer told me that the head WCG Referee told him that since only 1 player showed up for South that 3 players would qualify from Atlantic.

They should first offer the spot to the south players who didn't show up. They would've been handed the spot had they spent $300 to travel, but whether or not they can spare $300 should not determine their eligibility for the finals. If none of the 3 south players show interest, then the spot can be handed off. If only 1 south player shows interest, he should get it. If 2 or 3 of the south players show interest, they should get the same deal as the atlantic players -- play online.

The Southern players that showed interest are also eligible to compete with the Atlantic players for the 3 spots.
So far the players competing for the final 3 spots are like Assem, Idra, Artosis, Slog4, lastgosu, and failsafe? Am I missing somebody?

me and assem sent emails to the wcg people as soon as we found out we couldnt(wouldnt pay so much to go on such short notice) go to the south prelim, asking for spots in east. i havent heard back from them and i dont think he has either.
slog/lastgosu qualified for east originally, artosis has a spot as well.
i heard failsafe has hand problems and quit playing? im not sure why he wouldnt go to south if he intended to play, since he lives in texas. nyoken quit bw.
so the east online might be slog lastgosu artosis idra assem.

Failsafe was planning on going to the southern preliminary, but really didn't have the funds needed at the time up until it was too late. He actually lives in Alabama not Texas
You're right though he had some problems with his hand and went inactive for awhile, but I believe that hes slowly starting to play again.

East online is (supposedly): IdrA Assem Artosis Lastgosu Failsafe(maybe) SloG4[pG].
Word has it that slog is in korea and wouldnt care or w/e, failsafe is having hand problems and lastgosu never plays. Additionally it will be held on ICCUP and IP/APM's will be checked.

Crayon was able to, he competed in the 2nd USA online qualifier, under DoLeMiFaSol or something like that, but went inactive during the event.
He'll have to wait until next year now.

You were sweaty because you are a big guy + you were in a lan center that didn't turn on the AC the night before so it was hot, which wasn't as hot as the console room where I was at + you drank those energy drinks, which is bad to do while you're competing, they're basically downers.
Drink coffee if anything, I'd just eat a small breakfast b4 you go and stick to water until the tourney is over.
