INTRODUCTION
Dear Sirs and Madams, Zergs, Protoss, both and neither,
we are more than happy to announce that BWCL continues its journey for a 54th season! Season 54 will roll out next Sunday, September 19th. As per usual, regular playtime is 19:00 CEST.
The season will play out using the same setup as last season for google drive and lineups. We kept the format of 6 divisions (with E split into 2) but this time limited to 6 clans each, in order for all the playoffs to line up nicely.
As usual, it will be 4 1v1 and 1 2v2, all of them BO3. Each BO3 win is +1 point, and winning the CW provides an additional point.

Let me also give a few words as the new BWCL head admin.
BWCL: season 54: renovating our home
The league keeps evolving with staff changes, rule improvement based on user feedbacks, more casts, new maps etc... Our adventure has been a long one and will continue for a while more. We realise the league exists solely due to the amazing admins of each clans that help us every day to keep things running, as well as the players who give their time to compete across all divisions.
The admin team is expanding as a result to be more reactive, but also the rules were re-written for better clarity to allow every one to know exactly what to do and what they can expect. Not only does this help us, admins, by being open and fair based on the rule book, it also helps every participant know their rights and obligation as a member of the community. So before the season even starts let me tell all of you, from S rank to F rank, that if you see something that you think could be improved, just reach out to us or your squad leader.
We are all passionate about the game and strive to provide a stable and fair environment for everyone, but we can also make mistakes or fail to evolve due to various reasons such as overwork, the weight of tradition (both good and bad) or simply just not coming up with an idea that would work better. So please keep working with us to make this league the best it can be!
Moreover to support our mapmakers, we picked several of the TL map contest winners in our mappool this season. We are proud of the great work that went into those maps and hope you will all enjoy playing them.
With that said, the whole admin team is eager to have you play our league this season too, and we wish all of you a great experience and the best of success in BWCL!

We recruited a tech admin to make it better than last season, but the overall system is the same. Here is a quick summary:
Clans now get access to “Management Sheets”, in which leaders can add / change players on their own. They’re also able to have a look at a personalized “Schedule”, where they’ll see who their opponents are. There, line-ups and scores have to be reported. The reporting is possible after a clan war ended. Every leader should have been given access already, but if you run into issue please PM an admin immediately.

Line-Ups & Reporting
As mentioned, with the new Clan Management from season 53, things changed in the way clan war scores are reported. In the past you could submit your line-up before a clan war was played, now you can’t. The second you enter your line-up, your opponent can see it on the general Google Drive overview. That’s not a bug, that’s a feature.
Downside:
Some clans insist on submissions due to “strategic” reasons. If you want some sense of fairness in the procedure, follow the schematic explained to you in the leader tutorial. That is:
The clan currently placing better in the season has to nominate their first player.
The clan lower placed in the season has to nominate their first AND second player.
The clan higher placed then nominates second and third player and so on and so forth
For the start of the season, the clan “higher placed” means whoever is listed higher in the overall sheet.
Upside:
Whenever you have to switch players (e.g. due to lag issues), you can do that on your own. You don’t need an admin for that, at all.
Important:
In case of postponements, we still need to rely on you to report the games as soon as they are finished. If you miss to report games, we will add penalty points. If you can’t report due to bugs, tell us as soon as possible.
Complaints for more Transparency
Anyone who actively participates in BWCL now has the option to issue a “complaint” about any administrator’s ruling. It doesn’t matter about what: Be it a sanction due to a flame, a walk over you don’t agree with or a black list entry / player ban.
You can make your case in the channel #complaint in Discord. An admin who wasn’t invovled in the decision will review the incident and give you a final decision later. Even the Head Admin’s decision can be vetoed and undone.
However, please be respectful when addressing a problem. We’re human, we do make mistakes and we don’t always see things the same way. Doesn’t mean we can still agree that a basic sense of mutual respect is key to overcome differences of opinions.
Also, the complaints shouldn’t be used as a way to “win by rules”, rather than by winning due to playing better.
Note: By opening a #complaint channel we are reacting to public demand. However, at the same time we will not react to complaints and drama here on TL.net or elsewhere.
New Admins
In an effort to avoid concentrating too much power in the hand of one person, and also to share the workload, the admin has been expanded. But we are always on the lookout for motivated staff.
If you want to help out, a few positions would still be open. Most importantly:
- Anyone who wants to help with (written) coverage of the league
- Casters (experienced or not, S-Class or total newb, we support anyone)
- Translators for the Spanish community
- Optional: Translators for other (Russian, Polish, Portuguese)

Outlook
For the future we are considering the revival of the King of Kings, but it may not happen this season due to the workload involved (sorry). However we did listen to the feedback and provided an environment for new blood to improve and settle with the rebirth of the Little League! If you are 1650 MMR and below, do reach out to us. Maps and format are the same as the main league.
