If Sorry advances from this group we've fundamentally misunderstood the universe. The other three should give some good games. Probably Snow/Soma unless Sharp has really worked on his TvZ.

I think snow is definitely making it out, but it's honestly a tossup between the other 3 (although I expect sharp to crush sorry).

It looks like a good group. I think Snow would be the favourite to advance first from here. Sharp and Soma have shown they can beat anyone when at their best so one of them might advance first. I still got money on Snow.

The career and presence, Snow and Sharp will advance. However, Soma and Sorry are also having some good potentials to take them down. IMO, Snow most likely will advance, and if Sorry or Soma is on a good condition to take down Sharp tonight, he will advance.

Artosis will be there. He said on the pylon he had to head off to the studio in about 15 minutes. So he will be there. I'm guessing Tasteless will be there to unless he's resting.

I don't like Sharp's TvZ, imo he can't bio/defend mutas (which is what Soma excels at). I'll go with Snow and Soma. Sharp's mech/vulture harass is godly but he's going up against Snow.

sorry eschew the typical ladder terran that upon seeing 2 hatch muta just sit all their marines back in their base for god knows what.
being aggressive and taking the fight to the zerg push them out of their comfort zone and forces more errors out of muta micro. a trait i see in many strong tvz bio players like PianO and now sorry

Sharp should win this TvT series. I've liked his TvT in the past. He;s played from behind in a few of them, but he has managed to come back and win some of them. I think this will be a fun series.

Not sure what Sharp was thinking there. Seems so unlike Sharp to take a fight like that on lower ground.

Great games overall today, im just a bit surprised on SnOW weak performance in his series against SoMa...
His whole tournament was on the line there, finishing 2nd of his group would automatically end his KSL right away (less than 1% chance he can take 3 games from Rain on the next round).

It was clear tastosis hadn't watched much Snow vs Soma when they predicted Snow. I hit Snow's stream a few times as he was killing on ladder, only to hit Soma 5 times straight for 0-5. As I was watching Soma v Sorry, I was thinking after the 2nd game: nobody's happier right now than Snow. then Soma reverse sweeps... poor Snow, such bad luck

I am just curious, would please share the mathematical way to reach this conclusion - that Snow has less than 1% chance to take three games off Rain. I would be most grateful and I thank you in advance.

it's like soma was super nervous for the first 2 games and then turned on the killer instinct, too bad for snow that he caught him afterwards and got run over pretty badly

So cool seeing soma go from choker to killer in realtime in set 3. Glad we get at least 1 great zerg in the Ro8

Sorry was super impressive too, although snow will probably be an even harder MU for him than soma.

Out of curiosity would this imply that you would offer greater than 100:1 odds for Snow > Rain?

I think you'd find takers if you offered these odds commensurate with your assessment of the probability of each player's victory.

it's like soma was super nervous for the first 2 games and then turned on the killer instinct, too bad for snow that he caught him afterwards and got run over pretty badly

I'm sorry I kinda have to disagree with this. Game 1 you could argue Snow was a bit too greedy or didn't do enough to sniff out the bust. Either way Soma executed well so credit goes to him.

Game 2 though, wow that was a SUPER won game that was just tossed away. He had enough goons, enough cannons and corsair numbers increasing. There is no circumstance where that game should be lost. He can send out a few units to scout or push back lings a bit but moving out across the map was a disaster. Honestly, embarassing game for someone of Snow's caliber. I'm half-joking but I would be more relieved if I found out he fixed the match.

Game 3, cannon rush is also embarrassing. It just does. not. work. Like ever, especially at the highest level. It basically says either you've given up or you haven't prepped anything in terms of strategy.

I'm actually pretty curious as to when was the last time a cannon rush worked in an official PvZ.
