Hopefully sharp can figure out how to beat 2-hatch muta next week.

Now this may sound crazy, even though Zero got 3-0'd, I felt like he showed more rounded skillful play in the ZvT matchup than Modesty did vs. Sharp when he 3-0'd him. Modesty always gets by off odd builds and timings that the terran either just doesn't hold or otherwise crushes. I think when Sharp meets him again he will absolutely decimate him. Sharp isn't Leta.

Yeah no offense to modesty but it'd be a shame if sharp doesn't beat him next week. Modesty has great muta micro but he is such a 1-trick pony, and his zvp is fucking abysmal. Of course a win is a win and I respect him for taking the series vs sharp last week, but until he shows more depth in his play and amps up his zvp I don't think he's a deserving Ro8-caliber player.

The way Zero succeeded against Terrans was when he started to go two base hive tech into expansions. Unlike Modesty, his goal wasn't to get guardians, but instead acquire defilers. Then he could dark swarm lurker guard his third more easily while using the utility of nydus canals. I believe Zero chose to play the builds he did today as comfort strategies instead of the breakout ones that put him on top in the past. I don't think it was actually the builds which lost Zero the games. His builds were fine, his macro was great. He just had, just as in his matches against Best, a very hard time controlling his army correctly and making the right moves once he hit a certain threshold of supply. I just think Zero needs to get his multi-tasking and decision making back and he will be busting terrans all over again. It pains me to see him play like this because you can see the sparks of his original play, which was some of the most entertaining TvZ styles I have ever witnessed, and then messes up the execution. Next time, I believe in you!

Next time, I believe in you! I only mean to say his strategy wasn't an evolved one. He chose builds that are very much figured out by Terran. So, like you said, it would require a much better version of himself to execute those builds and win with them.

Next time, I believe in you! Yeah, I agree. People shouldn't take my LRing as hating on ZerO, I like him as a player and would love to see him succeed. He wasn't playing badly on the whole, and he showed some crazy drone micro early in a few of the games. His macro seemed fine to good. But once it came to large scale fights, there were multiple examples of him swarming way too late, engaging at bad times/angles, etc. And yes I'm absolutely hoping my boy Sharp smashes Modesty.
