Owwwwwww. Stork seemed really off in that last fight. I'm used to seeing him end up behind and then really scrap to try to claw back (often failing, but still). That last fight seemed way off though.

Was it really disappointing? We all love stork and JD but surely no one expected the results to be much different, right? JD actually played better than I expected, he almost pulled off a win in game 2.

Watching Stork's shuttle (non)micro was extremely painful. There was no glimpse of his former self in those matches. He was one of the few PvP greats in the past, but that clearly wasn't there.

It felt like JD would do something to get ahead and then make an unnecessary choice (lurker drops in game 1, guardians game 2) and have the tables turned. Last played well for sure.

I think JD played fairly well, unfortunate he had to play arguably the best player in his opening match of the Ro16. Worst thing is that he might have to play him again if Rain beats him... I feel like JD has shitty luck in most of his groups.

When tastosis were talking about Rain having no flaws, I was thinking his main flaw is lack of motivation. Then I sorta refined it to Rain being Rain's biggest flaw. But outside that, he's pretty solid.

Yeah. JD's play on the Colosseum game was decisive, and he made a couple of really good tech switches. It's a shame that he had to come up against the the factory in human form, Last. At every good play by JD, Last just had more units. You can wipe out an entire line of siege tanks for basically free and thirty seconds later he has more tanks than he started with.
It's not surprising to see but somehow i always forget just how good Last is at this matchup. Anyway! l'm really looking forward to round 2 of this group. Should be a couple of closer sets imo.

the colo game was the best game from jaedong. the guardians and expanding toward the terran as opposed to away from the terran were the two mistakes he made though. I think if he took his third and fourth at top right instead of bottom left he could have won and swung the momentum back to his side.
