Is it really dark swarm the best spell in the game? I thought consume was way the best spell/ability since it enables "free" other spells. I am not saying dark swarm isn´t good but it would be like half as powerful without consume and the other way around is true, any other spellcaster would be at least twice as good with consume.

I am watching pro BW and using TL.net since the very beginning and I have this feeling, maybe its subjective, that the moment there is a Protoss favored map, people start commenting how protosses are getting free wins, undeserved wins etc., but all the Terran or Zerg favored maps throughout the whole history of BW are perceived as either Terran and Zergs are better players or Protoss race is just weaker. Nevertheless there were a lot more Terran & Zerg favored maps than Protoss favored maps imo. Protoss had so few favored maps compared to the other races historically but somehow this race is not allowed to have favored maps - islands, semi-islands or others

Okay that's not really a particularly easy thing to do and maps will almost always swing one way or another but to be SUPER favoured in one direction to the point where it's virtually unwinnable for a race is pretty unacceptable or at least it should be for high level tournament play. Especially since it's the first map in the pool.

Transistor was actually Protoss favoured vs Terran (Protoss had a 75% win rate) and Zerg Favoured vs Protoss (Zerg had a 65% win rate). So... ? Block Chain is much, much more imbalanced than Transistor. And Protoss had a 56% win rate vs Terran on Camelot. Zerg had a 63% win rate vs Protoss on that map. That really, really is not "unwinnable" for Protoss in any way.

Those 2 maps where clearly broken for pvz without the help of statistics, you just have to look at them to know it... so they were not supposed to be used. So now enjoy Block chain. :D

I don't want and can afford to watch several hours in hd quality on afreecatv, this is ridiculous. Any alternatives?

The ro16 Group Selection is my favorite thing of the tournament. It introduces the players and builds hype. I hope TL staff will consider doing a pre-Group Selection coverage and post-Group Selection coverage with predictions and recaps! It is an important part of the tournament.
