HAY has been 1900CEST for all of 2018, and the two or so before that because TLOpen started running on Saturday which was my original time slot. I hated Saturday times lot because it ruined my weekend. If BWCL wants to go over that, fine. Not fair to me though, since I’ve kept this series consistent at the same time this year. If all the top players stop playing in my tours for BWCL that’s fine by me. Y’all make your own decisions, and this isn’t like the biggest tour in the universe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’m just tired of being pushed out of timeslots I've kept for a long time.
The 17:00 CET time slot was picked by me for the test season of BWCL and the season after that. Even back then users were more than mildly displeased with the decision to push the traditional time slot of 19:00 CET, which was there for 16 years, only to make due with my personal liking.
The current administration discussed the matter, made a poll and the users answered. All of that happened without anyone knowing anything about your tournaments. It all comes down that this is an unlucky coincidence and most definitely wasn't a decision to create some sort of competition with your project. There was even a short discussion if BWCL shouldn't go back to 17:00 CET, but eventually the planning was too far done to just do a last minute change, as this might have dire consequences for the South American teams signing up.
It really might not be the worst idea to create a discord for organisers andstaff people to share info and potentially resources, at least to try to avoid these mishaps in the future.
I'm not entirely sure how this seasons grids are going to work, but there at least might potentially be some sort of gentlemen's agreement for the teams: games can be postponed, so that a player might be able to play the individual tournament instead. As Vincent isn't casting sundays at the moment, this wouldn't be "too bad". However, this is something that players and captains should be talking through with Face, who's in charge.
Anyway, good luck with your project and please neither take this as official stance on the matter (as I'm inactive) or any kind of negative criticism.

I didnt mean to step on your toes Schamtoo, I really love that your organize HAY and that you put ALOT of effort into it. But I put alot of effort into keeping the clan community alive as well, cause BW has always been (at least during my days) about the clans battling it out alongside the individual ladders and tournaments.
I will ofcourse make sure to give my players the info about your tournament time and place as always, but I also need to look after my own interest cause I put alot of my own resources and time in to leading iRk and preparing my players for our cws. For me as a leader I know I have sundays to make sure my players are online and ready for our cw's, and I'm always present from 30 min before STPL starts to the last 2on2 has been played in BWCL, eventho i rarely play myself. If i had to do this 2 nights a week I prolly wouldnt have the time for it, and iRk would prolly not excist at this stage.
When it comes to the individual tournaments I keep up with my players games, and make sure they remember what time they're playing and help out with PP if they need, but that's so much easier then pp a whole CW because suddenly it's 4 1on1's and 1 2on2 wich means 6 x 2 players to reschedule, and that takes energy and a shitload of time. I mean just getting players to remember 16:00CEST every sunday is a 24/7 job and still they forget.
Forgive me if i sounded like an ass, wasnt my intention and i apologize

Sure, but I've had this tour going all year and never coincided. And if no one knew "anything" about my tours then they obviously don't play in them and aren't much of a problem.

Someone made one, no one used it. I left ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hey if your players wanna focus on BWCL, agge, as I said. No problem for me. Would be a shame for Dewalt tho since he routinely places highly in my tournaments.

I'll make sure Dewalt can participate if he wants to. np np

Schamtoo you also said that HAY was going on a hiatus and may or may not return. During that time both BWCL and STPL changed their timeslots, not considering HAY because it wasnt being played currently.
would be really nice if we could all work together to support the scene and have STPL 17, BWCL 18, HAY 19, OR STPL 18, BWCL 19, HAY 20. Doesnt matter which, these are only 1 hour shifts I dont see why it is a big deal to make the shift for any of these leagues but it would mean that everyone would play all three instead of having to choose and hurting the turnout for 2 leagues at once.

Lol, if you're ok with top players not coming to HAY anymore, why are you even having a tourney?
I also don't think anyone's pushing you around - it sounds like folks are trying to collaborate and build a fostering community. If you think that's being pushed around, cancel your tourney.
Never seen a tourney admin this soft (except maybe iccup.face could give you a run for your money); but you give your own prizepool, it's respectable, but don't think just because you do that, people aren't still going to voice their opinion. Every time someone voices a valid opinion, you jump the gun "WELL, DO WHAT YA WANT I DON'T NEED TO HAVE HAY." Ok bro, cancel it, if you're trying to hold it over people's heads lol.

I mean, given I've gotten like 4 PMs about this and this thread has a buncha replies about it... It's just super annoying.
Every one of those PM's was telling me to move HAY, so yeah, I consider that being pushed around.

non-prize league (BWCL) with lack luster coverage, vs a quality and prize tournament...hmmm doesn't seem like a tough choice

Just foster the community spirit, my friend, or you'll feel like what's happening in the video link. =D

Competition is good. Let's see which tournament is more attractive for the players(the prize pool, production value, management, format, schedule, etc), so the tournaments with less participation step up their game. It's like free market.

If we are to grow, collisions are inevitable. If we're getting too stuck on "please don't collide", we'll reach a point where new things can't get organized simply due to no time slots being left.
Some considerations have been made, which is fine. Else from that we'll just have to work around it. Players need to consider if they want to value the clan over their own pockets, and the clan needs to figure out if they wish to prioritize letting individuals unfold, or winning as a team.
If we are to grow, we'll have to accept that and think more about how we want to prioritize, rather than forcing organizers to cater to all our wishes. At least that's how I want to think as we approach the future.

Oh, forgive me. The last map is Polaris Rhapsody, like last time.

Great games, great commentary. You and Nyoken are a very good match. Accurate analysis, no meta puns. Good production, good voices. Good audio. The only thing I missed last night was the series score of the ongoing match. See you next time!

I’m confused, were the big numbers at the bottom next to their names not intuitively the match score? Thanks for the feedback!
Also, thank you so much for the praise!
