Light vs Jaedong and Shine vs Snow were the 2 series I enjoyed the most so far. They were insane! I’m a fan of light now.

Mind played so bad on Circuit Breaker. He was in a good position when Horang lost 3 dragoons trying to snipe his tank. And then he scans Carriers and doesn't take his 4th for like 5mins? How do you not take that 4th immediately when you know Horang is on 3 base and making Carriers, he will not have enough units to attack you.

These are dark times for TvP, Mind who is supposedly top 3 TvP can't even beat Horang, imagine what would happen if he plays Snow/Rain/Mini.

disagree. stork looked strategically better, but mechanically best was clearly better, and overall I would say going into this match, odds would of been on best.

Easy to say when you can see their apm, but just looking at the game and ignoring that fact that we all know Stork is just not as fast as most other protosses, where did that show in the games exactly? Because I didn't see that anywhere and its not like his macro was bad or anything. The only thing i can think about is that attack with the double shuttle, but that was not so much an apm related fuck up there (just like the failed attack in game 1 had nothing to do with control).

So where exactly did Best look that much better? Or are you just looking at the apm counter and saying Best looked better because of that? His awesome control didn't stop probes from entering his base like pretty much every game except the BO win, that's for sure.

2 of Stork's wins were longer by 4 minutes because Best kept out-microing him in battles. It was blatantly obvious. Targetting, super quick storms etc.

However, Best lost the build order battle. It's a PvP after all.

Currently? I don't agree.
This month in Spon Matches he is 23-44 vs terran including 3-17 vs last and 4-8 vs Sharp.
His only non-losing records vs T this month (with 5 or more games played) are 6-6 vs Light, 5-4 vs rush, and 3-2 vs ForGG - not earth shattering victories.
At the moment his PvP is his only match up I am confident in, and I'm a Stork fan.

Stork against Horang2 will be amazing. I’m feeling ASL5 level hype for this tournament. Just wish they’d get a third caster that played Zerg and was knowledgeable like Artosis.

APM has nothing to do with mechanics and only a retard thinks that, frankly. It showed in their micro and macro, pretty consistently best was doing better in that regard. The failed attack in game 1 had something to do with control, it had a lot to do with positioning and game knowledge. Honestly, even though best lost the series, he clearly looked like the better player-- in everything outside of strategy. If the series was replayed a dozen times best would win the majority.

Yes I agree on that too, Stork played kind of brilantly in terms of gameplan, then at some points excecuted not so well (or maybe just not at the same level Best can do).
When you have played this game for years and you face a stronger opponent there's a way of using the fact that "he knows he's better and you know he's better" to a strategic advantage. I got that feeling from Stork.
Congratulations to him, bringing down Best in a "best of" series is not easy task for anyone these days, he definitely beat the odds in this round. Fighting!

Terrans are just awful at TvP with the possible exception of Flash. I don’t think it’s just because it’s a “hard match up”. They were doing a lot better in the KESPA era.

That failed attack in game 1 was just a sticking to a plan that could never work and having his DA taking all the hits. You can say Best targeted it down well, but it wasnt too hard since it was the unit upfront. I seem to miss what micro you are talking about exactly too, as there were very few battles aside from the major game deciding ones. I would love to hear some examples of this clear and obvious better play from Best though, because I have not seen much of that. Did not watch the games back, so i might be wrong, but I don't think Best ever looked like the 'clearly better player' in this series.

A lot of the best tvpers don't play the game anymore. namely all of the SKT terrans.

+ the Protoss around these days were known as Pvt specialists back in the day for the most part.

I thought Stork announced his retirement?

I don't follow the scene day to day but I heard that somewhere and was surprised and happy to see him here winning!
