EPTThe 2 vs 2 island Tournament
Hello fellow nerds and Brood War fans! It is my pleasure to announce to you the 2 versus 2 Island Tournament as special little delight for this day and as part of our wonderful advent calendar!
To ensure that things don’t go the normal way and the best player just wins straight up, we have come with some evil schemes of our own to mess things up a little bit. Our little tournament will not only be a 2v2 tournament, we will also be playing on all kind of weird, unusual maps.
Do you guys actively recall playing on this little beauty?

Well, if you do and if you are not a Protoss player, I bet you might have uttered a little sobbing noise and rightfully so, because Protoss is pretty much the shit on these kind of maps. And we have plenty more where that came from. So, without any further ado, let’s present the map pool:
Iron Curtain: a wonky map where you don’t know if you are playing an island scenario or not:
Neo Hall of Valhalla: one of those pretty much straight up imba island maps:
Gorky Island: the Gorkiest kind of map
Chariots of fire: an unusual semi island map, where you can either play an island scenario or push workers through the mineral patches…
I’ll give you a second to take a deep breath and wonder, how this is going to turn out. Right, so, as most of you guys will probably not have all those wonderful maps in their mapfolder, let me link our Mappack. Please use exactly these, as they are tested and allow the Casters to join the game.
So, how do you join the wonderful abomination of a tournament? That’s a bit tricky. First off, you want to find a guy to play this with you, as we will have fixed teams. Secondly, youyou’re your ally register an account on Challonge. Next, one of you has to create a team and invite the other guy in here. Please name your team in the following fashion: NicknameA/NicknameB. It allows us to manage and cover this event way easier.
Finally, you can
for the tournament. From there on, you almost got it. You will have to check-in and show up for the tournament from 17:30 CET to 18 CET, the tournament Channel on ICCup is “Op BW.de”

Pay attention to the guy with the ban-hammer!
If both players of a team does not show up 15 minutes after the next round was announced, the other team will be granted a walkover, if they both show up. If both teams are missing or incomplete, both teams will be disqualified.
In case, you struggle with registering your team on challenge, the admins can add your team, before the tournament starts. We won’t help you if you were too lazy to try in the first place though.
Players who lack a partner to play with may show up at 15:30 CET sharp in the channel to find a guy to play with.
So, with that being done, I might as well add, that this tournament will be casted by myself and the (truly) amazingkxcd. Many thanks to him, I would not be able to run this without him!
