Unless you have a chance of winning, you're playing for fun, not prizes. Not everyone can afford to throw away $5 every week. Even if you can afford it, that doesn't mean it's worth the money. I don't know many people willing to spend $5 to play 2-3 games of Starcraft. If I sign up for each of your tournaments, that's $20/month. That's more than the cost of a monthly subscription-based game like WoW plus a subscription to Netflix combined. All for the chance to play 10-15 games of Starcraft, which I can go do for free instead. I don't know why you'd expect anyone to sign up.

lolllllllllll Also, how did glarex take two games away from trutacz? I hope the next tour is like, trutacz vs chrisolo or someone bad, and then it's 3-0 and everyone is like "Damn, I bet all my money on chrisolo."

I want to remind we get more players doing normal tournaments, this special kind of tour is for people who asked to Pay Per PLAY, but I also think these tours are funny and give more motivation to players, so I wouldn't give up so early. I understand, who doesn't arrive in final can see this as a wasting of money (which is not true), anyway we can give an incentive with an appropriate remuneration to all the players who will register: iCCup Administration will pay back in storegolds the amount of dollars you pay to register for Cash Tournaments, so you don't feel as "wasting" your money if you not gonna win! $5 are ~equivalent to 54 storegolds (named cups in russ) You can use them in the STORE and buy for example ~500 ladder points (the top200 written in the desc is not updated, correct is top100) The features actually available in the STORE for StarCraft are:
In this way registering Cash Tournaments you have the chance to win more money+points, you can buy ladder points or whatever available in the store and you give a little sponsor for further BW events. Let's see how the next tour goes!

I don't remember it in the past... you can't buy yourself past top100 rank. isn't there any way to avoid the transaction fees of paypal? i remember losing tens of dollars just by distributing gambit cup prize money among team members. it's pretty ridiculous.

No.. There is not. Either the sponsers has to pay fees to send the money or the fees are deducted at the time of the transaction which does suck .they used to beable to gift funds without fees but they remove that I believe-.-
