The game I have in mind is from a Protoss, and I saw a moxie[wok] replay the other day of him vs. some B- [PE] toss who did almost the same exact thing (3 gate dt drop into 4 gate all-in off 1 base). Except the guy I faced at D+ also followed up with a reaver bust lol. It's crazy what people can do off 1 gas.

That's why there's terminology like "C- high". Nobody is saying here that rank equals skill, but I'm saying if you hit C-, that means you hit C-. There's no such thing as saying "Oh well, I only hit C- because I did xyz and therefore I'm not really C-."

So why doesn't Iccup make like a new rank between D+ and C-, called something like "Better than D+ but not really C-"? It seems fairly silly for a server to get its own ranking system wrong, so they need to fix this.

Getting C- and losing it consistently is the same as being D+ because you beat D+ players to get there (only 33% on MotW, which means you don't even have to be in the top 50% of D+ players to get C-, hypothetically), and get beaten by C- players. That is why there is lenience to people who are low C- and can't hold it. It's fairly simple -_-
