This is the 7th Starleague hosted by Sonic, a popular Afreeca BJ (Broadcast Jockey). Featuring a 7mil Won prize pool, this Starleague will feature 32 of the best players Fish/Afreeca has to offer.
The Ro32 is played in a Dual Tournament format, split over two days. Today will feature the Final match (Bo5) of each group, determining who will be the last one to advance to the Offline Ro16.
Why should you watch it ?
Because it's not over and it's a new beginning for us broodwar fans . Okay to be truthful this is the closest we can get to watching proleague level of broodwar ever again . So thank the gods for sonic and afreeca bj .
Last but not least ?
Sonic seems to think that the dedicated stream on twitch.tv is functioning 24/7 but it isn't at all . Arvick hero is trying to contact sonic and tell him it ain't working . So bear with us, we are so used to dedicate channels without lag and such but you can't demand much when things are much smaller right now ..
I may or may not wake up for this, considering that its already 11pm (If I wake up for this it means less than 6 hours of sleep lol) here. I will just have to root for the underdogs here, and please hope that more ppl will participate in the LR thread

Tonight is the story of the Second Chance
In both Groups E and F, Hint and Ondol were undoubtedly the weakest of each group, failing to net any wins each. However, by divine intervention or what not, both have been given a second chance to advance from the Ro32 that they otherwise would have not had.
It's undeniable that Sexy and KangTaeWan are the heavy favorites against their respective opponents. But, with more than a week's worth of preparation and the motivation fueled from gaining that lucky second chance, anything can happen! Tonight, 9PM KST, Groups E and F Final Match!!
Hi, I noticed a lot of re-streams are bad quality, so I'm attempting to re-stream myself as an alternative. Can anyone verify the channel that broadcasts the tournament on Afreeca? I'm already re-streaming a stream by Station name: Sonic TV stations (bj: sogoodtt), but I've never watched SSL before so I can't confirm.
My mom called she wants me to stream so i came back... naah i just really care for you guys so i will stream... Nope that's not the case neither... Actually it was too windy so i decided to go tommorow... So lets begin shall we

Don't hesitate to let me know what I'm doing wrong/what I can do to make the stream better. This is my first time. Both modesty and I have to wait for the stream to start ATM.
Edit: I'll attach my stream to the calendar event when I'm actually re-streaming the SSL. In the meantime, I can't connect, but soon!

the map is neo jade and sexy has been doing dropship play. A big attack came in that was goon heavy but sexy defended with some clutch mines; however tank count went from like 5 to 1.
sexy took out the fourth at natural top left (11 oclock?) and then moved those forces to get a good spot to go to the third. however a flank (with slow lots coming down the ramp) cleaned it up

sexy is pushing up to hints fourth expo........ lets see what hint's reaction to it.. nevermind hints lets the fourth expo go down in flames and is destroyed.
Looks like both players are trying to macro up and hit 200/200 supply before engaging each other again. Vulture drop by sexy manages to shut down the expo at 11.00 for a while hint templar drop was futile because it did nothing ..
a 2 vulture drop at the top left (where protoss put down another base) takes out all the probes there while protoss was playing around with his shuttle
lol 1 vulture hero gets microed to get 1 extra probe.
sexy had gone out with 12 vultures and layed some mines, had a fun engagement with some goons (the laying mines around them and protoss microing goons back and killing mines), got a few probes

to be fair, I think protoss through a lot of units away some. protoss was at the point to prevent terran from moving out, but instead of sitting at top of middle of the map ramp he attacked into the third a couple times (mildly successful), but I think better approach would to have just gone up to a 5th and 6th base safely

Yeah he could have use those units to protect his 5th and 6th base...
whelp it's split map and terran has 191 supply (don't know what protoss has), but with like 30 tanks he is able to survive the big engagement (well he "lost" it, but like 8 tanks are stasised and they are being joined up with some tanks he left at home. protoss lost everything)
well only 1 fact was making stuff so not really, but slow vultures did a disproportionate amount of damage for that stage of the game. And sexy took his backdoor as well, so he has 3 ccs

it's kind of cute how sexy sings along with songs randomly sometimes.
also, as per all koreans streamers, they only listen to like 20 songs in total and kpop (I do the same though). He had the avalon msl intro (kelly clarkson? whatsherface) I think and now has the same song roro has (payphone). maybe it was the bacchus 2009 intro (water intro, that one is definitely kelly clarkson)

FD from Sexy, Hint with the 1 Dragoon Double into 2Gate/delayed robo, apparently the same build pattern from the last two games. However, commentator is saying that Sexy has been winning consistently, so perhaps Hint should change it up
Sexy taking advantage of the fact that Hint has a lower dragoon count than normal, goes for a quick timing push. However, DTs save Hint from death, and are able to mostly clean up Sexy's push
Failing to kill all the dragoons, Sexy GGs as soon as he sees his vultures blocked from the ramp by Hint's Dragoons
Perhaps we'll be seeing a deviation from FD vs 1 Dragoon double into 2gate? I would be really surprised if they stuck with the same pattern for the fourth time in a row.
Sexy manages to defend via vultures and mines, but having lost such a disproportionate amount of mining time and SCVs, can he really say that he's alive??
Hint doesnt give a shit about mines, he keeps bum rushing through them with ALL units. I swear, he's killed like 15 SCVs via mine drag so far.
vulture raids have made up for everything. ~2 vultures got good kills earlier, and now a raid of 4 did some mine damage to maybe 2-3 goons and zealots and killed like 5 probes themselves
Sexy is evneing the game a little by making only vultures and killing a good number of probes, but once Obs is up ... Sexy is essentially screwed for having no tanks to defend agianst the sizable dragoon force
a dmatrixed tank was able to delay enough for a round of vultures/tanks to come out. vultures layed mines and are taking on a lot of zealots (zealots only remaining) that were running down to the third instead of into the natural
game resumes, and those zealots were taken out but a group of zealots and goons came in to 4 unsieged tanks while vultures were chasing zealots at the third.
vultures ran back and planted mines, but 1 goon bravely sacrifices himself to take out like 5 vultures, "wahhh pulture mine dragga" as sexy said in anguish (sounded like that to me at least)

Both are playing relatively standard, but Ondol has a fast gas before pool. A 2 hatch build should be expected. KTW expands.
Now, the interesting thing to note here was that this map was actually quite Zerg favored when it was first played, especially in ZvT, due to the strength the Zergs get from having that inbase third. Now however, Zergs seem to think that the map is actually bad for ZvT .. but there haven't been any real changes affecting the TvZ matchup from the first version to the Neo version.
Perhaps it has to do with a change in strategies? If I recall, something similar occured with the map Arcadia
Ondol going for a ballsy move here and expanding to the closeby Gas 3rd at 6, will KTW be able to find this? KTW has no indication to think there is an expo, but he's surely accouting for it by scanning the bottom left expo.
Now the dance of Mutas and MnM begin, and this game will come down purely to how good Ondol can micro his mutas. KTW already seems sufficiently prepared with 3 barracks and a lot of turrets.
Ondol taking a massive risk by skipping the Hydra Den and going straight for Hive. He's showing of pretty good Muta micro via abuse of the cliff
Wow that went bad for KTF pretty fast. Nat being broken down with zergling and mutalisk attack but Ondol hesitate and lose a golden opportunity. All turrets are down but there's still bunch of SCV and command center intact, and with two valkyrie intact mutalisk and guardian should do nothing...?
Except guardian actually killing everything rofl. Using the opportunity zergling flood the barracks! And valkyrie seem to be down for some reason and there's still three guardian and bunch of zerglings, with reinforcements flooding in. Suddenly it looks like Ondol got this game out of nowhere for the second time.
KTW moves out and catches some of the Mutas being morphed into gaurds! However, despite catching Ondol at such a good timing, KTW still lacks the sufficient forces to take out Ondol's forces.
Even with 4 valks, KTW finds himself unable to take air control. Ondol could finish this with Zerglings only. After losing most of his base, KTW taps out w/ a GG!!!
Nope, instead he's opting to place the third hatchery within his main.
KTW pushing out with a small attack force, hoping to force a few sunkens probably. Ondol this time decides to make the Hydra den, instead of skipping it for a faster hive
Ondol and KTW engage, no real heavy losses on either side at first. Both dance around a bit, and the Ondol goes around to cut off the reinforcements! An engagement occurs, and Ondol wins the fight pretty one-sidedly.
Ondol goes to check KTW's base, which is covered by turrets and MnM.
Ondol morphing his lurker towards KTW's base! With no third to defend or anything, he's deciding to use these lurkers offensively in hopes of killing his opponent!!
The natural is busted! KTW is forced to lift, but saves most of his SCVs. Unfortunately for Ondol, KTW made a tank and is able to clean up nicely.
If only he had preserved his Mutas better, he could've tried sniping the tank.

Okay Map is Neo Jade and Kang Tae Wan the teal terran is spawn on the bottom right at 5.00 looks from his build order he is going for a 1 rax fe ... and is sending a scout out . Everything is looking pretty standard so far. Ondol is at bottom left at 7 oclock and he is going for your standard 3 hatch .

When we found-out bgvrtb was re-streaming the main stream, I stayed on the Terran POV re-stream and Modesty took the Zerg's All three POVs covered!

when sonics main room is filled thers alot of relay(?) rooms that open up. theres a dropdown box to show just the relay rooms they are listed as 중계방 or an easier way is to just type 소닉 in the search bar and youll see multiple rooms that are not full

its still a good idea for you to know how to get into relay room since when you stream mong pusan hiya or any of them more popular bj's fp streams youll find that their main rooms will all be full and they will have 2-7 relay rooms open
