Also, two players with 0 losses o.O
Well Alec and Action have the same number of wins, but Alec has 4 losses. Soo this means Action probably played it safe and played a lot of D+, C- players just enough to advanced

I agree you guys need more love! We need another ISL soon or something similar. If something like that would be organized I would be happy to watch you guys duke it out.

And it is her responsibility to create a league for you?
This is some fucking bullshit to be honest. How many leagues haven't you (as in better players like you are stating) been able to participate in?
This league and ASL are the only ones were lower ranked players actually get some hype around their game given the fact some games will be casted. Speaking of myself I couldn't care less about the prizemoney - I'd gladly participate in something like this even if it was no prizepool. To see people like yourself trying to justify smurfing to ruin a league people actually look forward to participating in pisses me off - not to mention the time and effort the organizers and casters have to put in to make this work out.

Well the issue here was we didnt know ASL was anything more than a 1-off so we wanted to create a permanent tournament for C players in the spirit of the DRTL and DRIT. Personally I think asl prize pool is a little too high for C ranks because 1. The players would sign up anyway and 2. There are higher level players more deserving of the money.
Preferably, the asl and ysl would be merged and another tournament would be open for all levels but eywa does not want to work together in any way.

...Edit
never mind no need to start anything.

First I would like to defend Plumbum by saying that he was probably joking.
Second Yes smurfing is a real issue
and Third Having more A/B starleagues would probably fix that.

I'm going to clarify this to make it crystal clear for everyone. I really don't want to get into any drama here, so I'm simply going to focus on what happened and not what I think about what happened.
First off, Shimy started an obvious trend of leagues to which he said at the end of each one that he'd be making another. First was sGsCRO, second ASL which can be viewed as a turning point, but not as a starting point. At this Juncture it seemed clear that Shimy was interested in organizing a larger, more professional league for C ranks to play in and give them a major reason to improve. This benefits low rank players, it benefits high rank players. At the end of ASL, Shimy I believe was pretty keen on making a second, just not instantly. Obviously, he had a lot of commitments in his life which kept him from organizing ASL2 until now. With that being said, there is an obvious flow. ASL2 had been long since in the works by the time YSL was announced, thus, the plan was followed through on regardless. All of the money had already been collected and there really was no decision at all to be made. We knew that this would set off the organization of YSL as it would anyone to have a larger league be instated at the same time, however, it is really up to the new comer to request permission to host a league before doing so rather than the established organization to check up on these things. None of this was done by the organization of the YSL as such, they might lose out. Obviously, ASL2 is not in any way targeted at hurting the YSL, if it was, the time slot would overlap given that Shimy was told to reserve the time slot YSL took a while back. In the end, ASL2 got rescheduled because YSL picked their time slot prior to us.
As for the discussion about merging the two leagues, that discussion did take place. However, it was between L3gendary and myself rather than Nina and Myself or Shimy. In the end, L3gendary wanted to merge the organization and we simply wanted to merge the tournaments. Our strive for utmost professionalism given the tools at hand has always been a high focus of our organization. Respectfully, L3gendary disagreed with our ideals about professionalism in Brood War and stated that we weren't running a company.
Essentially it came down to a disagreement between our organization and L3gendary as to whether we should focus on growing our organization or perfecting it.

Honestly the more the merrier. MSL and OSL were able to work together, no reason why YSL and ASL can't either.

agreed, this is exactly what I was thinking. People should be happy to have an influx of leagues to play and reasons to practice to get better, at least I am very happy for this.

The more the merrier. Yeah, I absolutely agree. There hasn't really been any conflict between YSL and ASL, and I've even let the casters know that we won't be casting on Saturday so that people don't have to choose to watch one or the other live. I even thought the original Amateur StarLeague was cool, and I was unaware that another ASL would be launched, but I really wanted to pay homage to NoisE and Shimy's ASL1, and wanted to make something that would be a continuation of something awesome that they started. Any misunderstanding that came out of that was something I will take personal responsibility for. I hope everyone will tune in and enjoy both leagues in the coming weeks!

Like I told L3gendary, I will tell you the same Nina. Good Luck with this. The more leagues for the community, hopefully the more people we keep around and maybe draw in more as well.

As long as two ladder stages aren't happening at the same time it's all well and good if you ask me. If the two leagues work together it's going to be very good for all the C players out there and for the entier scene overall.
