Additionally, I strongly would recommend not adding walkovers to players' win ratios, because it skews the numbers heavily. For example, would be the point of saying "I won 100% of my games" if they were all walkovers? Taking a walkover should, in my opinion, be heavily discouraged in competitive play.

I can see where a walk-over would make sense in a competition sense where you have points to earn, but for a showmatch, where points are non-applicable, I would recommend a "no contest". W.O is just a broad term that is understood by the masses, as it's been the norm forever. The same way when you ask someone for a game you say "game?" rather than "Do you want to play?". This is also disingenuous, but accomplishes the goal of breaking any language barriers. How can you add a walkover to a players win ratio? It's actually almost impossible to attribute a win to a player in this league, because W.O's are only given in special circumstances where both players are there, and the team leader sent them both in knowing they could both play. W.O's are discouraged, I'm not sure where you'd form an opinion that they were common practice to achieve.

I see your point, but since Teamliquid.net's official language is English, and most of the people posting have fairly decent comprehension skills, I just thought it would help to clarify terms. As far as the issue of my opinion of walkovers, when money is on the line, I think it can be tempting to team leaders to take a walkover rather than issue a postponement - for example, I remember a clan league where this one clan took mostly walkovers to win their division, and declared themselves to be "the best". Just speaking from what I've seen personally, I'd hate to see that here. As a spectator, I would love to see every team play every other team.
