Guess a thanks to all the awesome TL crew throughout the years is in order, really mind-boggling work what you have done. Special mention to Ver, Stylish and Rekrul for extra awsomeness. On a sidenote, if I ever happen to be in the same country as Rekrul, I need to track him down and have a beer with him. Such an interesting character. I think really interesting discussions would happen. The character on the internet that I would like to meet and talk with the most really. I barely even posted, but holding the posting standard of 2006 where you should stop and think both before starting to write and before pressing the "post" button, I at least managed to avoid filling up the page with junk for the most part... A poor excuse, I know, but my lurking habit almost always won. It might be interesting to know that the TL population from the USA single handedly proved to me that not all of the citizens of the US. of A got a bad case of either the Nationalistic, Fundamentalistic, Hypocritical or Narrow perspective crazies, which was the impression I seemed to get when i was quite young ![]() Regarding lurkers, I want to make a shoutout to all the lurkers throughout the years who ghosted TL alongside me ![]() Never got around to post the thread asking if more people than me regarded the Race of the player much more important than the team they played on. In matches I always wanted the terran to win, second priority (In ZvP mostly) was that Protoss needs to lose :D In mirrors i simply wanted the best player to win, but to be honest i never learned to properly appreciate ZvZ or PvP. Does anyone else cheered for the race playing rather than the teams? The teams rarely interested me. My favourite players always were the Terrans, but most strongly I cheered for the terran underdogs. Some of these grew with the years to no longer be the underdogs, but that happens. The greatest sorrow for me from a fan perspective is that Sea did not get his individual league medal. Dammit. Light, Hiya, Baby, Mind, forGG, and to a lesser extent iloveOOV, Boxer, Fantasy, Flash, and every terran who ever entered the RO32, I cheered for. Also Brat_Ok was my favourite foreign player before he switched to SC2. I worked a booth at Dreamhack, and at the BW tournament all the Swedes cheered for the competing Swedes. Not me. Watching him play (almost alone watching him playing first person) was awesome, and he delivered like a boss. Brat and Day[9] switching to SC2 were two sad days. I have finally came to peace with the zealots and carriers of injustice from the micro-less childhood, at low levels where terran is the awesome hard-to-play race and Protoss is the easily managed race of cowards who would rather win than be awesome. At the 15-40 APM range the protoss is almost guaranteed to win, especially in an environment where Build Orders and mid-game-plans have yet to be invented in the casual world of Swedish teen basement LAN Starcraft players in the nineties and early 00. I am about to finish my Masters now, so it could be considered an appropriate timing for the last individual league BW finals. I read from a handful of posters that they consider this to be kind of a symbol a part of their life being over, and the start of another part. I never dared to touch WoW, Diablo 3, Dota 2, or Starcraft 2; since i know that my gaming addiction tendencies would probably (or rather is guaranteed) to mess upp my studies. I could probably sit down in an apartment with pasta and internet, and play SC2 for six months straight if I were inclined to. I should and will not do that. The SC2 spectating experience was never the same, and can not (as it is now pre-expansion) take the spot of BW from a viewer standpoint. I might be back for the TSL4 finals/RO4 if there are any Swedes left, but most likely not. Thanks to all the people related to TL. Yes, that means you. Tomorrow is the finals, and Jangbi will get his ass handed to him. Shit, I am getting all teary eyed. Goodbye

Sad that Flash couldn't make it, so I've got a grudge against "THE TERRORIST." Hoping that JangBi wins, but I predict Fantasy will take it (best of 5, right?) 3-1. :-C

This board has gone so far. From nothing more than a few inspired gamers to a comprehensive service behemoth that is provided around the globe. A look at alexa traffic rankings will verify the remarkable growth of teamliquid. Cant believe all of this will end so soon. At a time when BW is the only true RTS with a proven viewerbase and SCII is being hammered by LoL.

Fantasy is the heavy favorite given that he steamrolled Flash effortlessly in a 3-0 rout while Jangbi was saved by a hail mary pass in Game 3 of the semifinals this time around. Last OSL, Fantasy was also the favorite, but not to the same degree.
