Jaedong is such an ace-match beast! Man, I love Jaedong (now if only Team 8 didn't have to go to the ace match as often).

I actually think BaBy is better at SC2 than Jaedong. Jaedong just has the Ace Match Magic.

While I agree I think JD is closing the gap. I also think that Baby has been eased into SC2 in a way JD hasn't. For the most part I feel like Baby has gotten more favorable matchups to slowly build up his confidence whereas it has felt, at least to me, that JD has just kind of been tossed into the fire.

Baby is so fun to watch though and I can't wait to see his progression. I hope he gains a level of consistency he never really developed in the BW. He was always kind of streaky and never seemed to reach his ceiling.

Anyway... this has been the happiest I've been as a JD fan in a LONG time.

Actually, I hope they do switch out the aces now.. Its starting to get apparent they are targeting Jaedong with the builds they chose. I trust Jaedong will pull through, but you can only get so far with skill/talent/good looks until snipers start appearing to take you down

Only so far? It took Hwaseung to Gwangahnli in 2009.

Sadface when two teams I want wins for have to play each other =/

I agree yeah, the threat of using someone other than Jaedong should always be there to make enemy prep harder. I think Baby or Jaehoon are the two other candidates for this.

This was during JD's reign at the top though (I'm pretty sure JvZ was in full effect and his other matchups were still scary as hell). Is it even possible to have that sort of SC2 dominance given how SC2 is designed?

It's definetly possible to achieve something similar or at least close in SC2 even if you consider the game flawed...there used to be NvZ in SC2 for quite a while but it's been long gone.

JD has so much confidence in his macro and micro that he doesn't need to do weird builds or cut corners.

He is the perfect example of what BW players should do in SC2.

Ladder winrate is one thing, televised matches winrate is a completely different thing

Well they did send Jaehoon against Flash in the Ace and Jaehoon lost. And he had beaten Flash handedly in SC2 earlier in the day.

It doesn't matter .

Reminds me of the days when coaches wouldn't even field other zerg players because Jaedong had over 80% winrate vZ.

Lol Ace winning most of their BW sets so far.

I actually don't feel that ecstatic about Jaedong winning ACE for some reason.
