Overpool for Zero? Stats barely misses to deny the natural of Zero No, I think Zero took his mineral only first Cannon and gate added to the wall, nexus warping in too
Stats poking with a zealot, going to camp it behind the mineral lines, but the hydras kiill it Stats adding cannons Zero going to take a fourth at 12 oclock Sair going to try and catch an overlord 4 cannons Nets the overlord, but takes a bit of damage to the sair
Citadl is being added too Two hatcheries being added at the 12 oclock Stats going up to four or five gates Speedlots moving out chasing the hydras back Not sure if this is going to do anything Stats pulls them back
Mutas out for Zero Shuttle moving out, going to elevator some zealots into the main? Cannon just now being added to the main mineral line 6 kills on the DT Mutas taking a ton of fire 10 kill DT before it falls
Four HT for Stats Zero going to snipe some probes off Nice storm on the mutas Muta Hydra push Stats has a pretty sizable force moving towards Zero's nat Zealots go into each mineral line, take out a few drones
Stats might have enough to break the hydras 0-0 against the +2 weapons of the toss Stats taking his mineral only now too Three HT sitting idle at the nat Guess not as Stats pulls back his entire army
Two zealots going to try and snipe the hydra den It falls 12 ocolck has two zealots in it ravaging the mineral line Hydras manage to snipe the shuttle though Stats moving into position with his goon tamplar force Mutas snipe a couple of the HT
88-83 supply Stats favored for the time being No HT in the army yet, Zero pushing back the protoss wave of units each time Hydra den back at the natural now Stats going to push out again
Evo chamber has been up for awhile, but has been idle Stats taking a fourth at 9 oclock Mutas coming in from the side to snipe the HT Gets all four HT, but the mutas all fall Stats army looks very underwhelming now, has to try and defend his fourth nexus
Happy 9k posts X10A <3 Zero's mutas deny the fourth again Zero going to push in with his hydras and mutas, but I think he's just going to keep Stats contained Forge is sitting idle, no +3 Hydras just pull back altogether
DT getting ~5 more drone kills in the main Is this going to be another Stats vs Zero on Icarus Mutas all fall, and there are still even more HT Zero pushing the natural with more hydras too Stats' army is going to fall now

He didn't have the gas for lurkers since he was spending it all on muta/hydra over and over again. He also never intended to get a 4th base with gas anyways.
His entire plan was to keep Stats from ever getting a third gas so he essentially allin'd with 4base3gas muta/hydra in order to do so.

Flash just looked like he had no idea what to do after taking a defensive position in his main.
well shy countered the 14CC perfectly. dunno if Flash could've done anything to win that game.
Getting stim completed before the 14minute mark rather than c-shields.
Starting your starport on time so you can actually get out medivacs in a timely fashion and force back the contain.
Not losing 2 rax to low ground attacks.
Those would all have been a start =/
ah you watched that game more closely i guess ;D didn't know he got c-shields before stim. losing the two raxes was terrible indeed.
well I was watching gstl too (like yourself I presume) so maybe I made a mistake, but I'm sure he had c-shields and there was no reason to not have had stim done outside of delaying it. Or refusing to pull scv's to repair a barracks that had the tech lab researching it...but I'm sure he didn't fail that badly TT
special thanks for these LR threads by the way, I know with brood war dying everyone is sad but you guys still do a great job of doing things for the community that is left : )
Flash saw an obs and assumed a blink all-in I think. Against that immortal all-in he probably could have held the natural with 3+ bunkers, but he didn't know what was coming so he played it safe.
His early combat shields were probably due to expecting an all-in from shy, which is normally the right call, but he never got stim really. His medivacs were so late and he got contained so hard.
Shy is really good in both games, he is also very young and promising for the future. Also, lovin' the banner! And happy to see Woongjin Stars again with decisive number one position. Of course, there's certainly some serious work for us to maintain the lead in the 3rd round, as this round wasn't even that successful in itself.

These standings look so messed up, rofl.
Ok, can someone explain to me how exactly ranking in PL works? In Liquipedia standings it seems that "sets"(BW Bo3, SC2 Bo3 and Ace match) are weighted with plus-minus system, resulting in a number, and then all teams are sorted by that win-loss. In that picture, however, it seems that teams are ranked first by number of wins in matches, and then by win-loss number from all games, BW and SC2.
Add: Like here, these are standings after ACEvSKT match: http://i.imgur.com/qzZUy.jpg Which is different from Liquipedia method, and T8 is higher than KT vecause of 1 more win.
After this match, I changed my optimism about old BW pros' transition. Now I think most of them including Flash and all the big names will just disappear or be mediocre like Nada and Boxer at best.

wouldn't be so quick to jump on that gun. Flash was just beaten down by fantasy lately. Don't know his current psyche

Except shy is one of the best players, he did an unusual all-in, and caught Flash off guard (who had insufficient scouting). Flash made the best decision initially and just got his stim/medivacs too late overall while shy made great decisions.
I guess perfectman retirement was a logical choice any way since bw is not going to be played anymore in proleague . Also there is a possibility that pman doesn't share the same passion for sc2 hence the retirement . Pman maybe cheesy however the games that he brought on the table was entertaining at least . I felt really bad for pman after coming back to play the game he loves then proleague switch to sc2 which made him retire again .

so much for your "God" haha. He's not my God
who's your god?
Any player who can achieve the consistency and results that Flash has shown us, but doesn't play Terran. That's a true godlike player. Unfortunately, I've come to conclude it's almost impossible to reach that kind of winrate with Zerg or Protoss. The nature of ZvT, ZvZ and PvZ, PvT makes it impossible.
