Messy game. Wooki did some good harassing, but Trap attacked Wooki's expansion and caught him by surprise so he destroyed Wooki's army which was at the base. The KT player couldnt recover from the supply disadvantage, and the gg came a couple battles later.
corruptors out now for CH. kinda bad for mini since they counter both collosi and phoenix. but ton of gateways going up now for mini, probs gonna lift up all the units of CH while attacking.
Mini should be getting air attack if he's going so much air. Upgraded Phoenixes are actually okay against corruptors, and it allows for the rare and fabled carrier transition.
nvm, double expo from CH taking 4th too. also getting the greater spire. broodlords making now and probs gonna push out to mini's third and kill him. mini trying to remake that stalker/collosi deathball.
Why does everyone always forget crack for speedlings? I mean, they're not as good as BW cracklings (they're just regular cokelings), but it's still a great upgrade, and CH had greater spire done and a bunch of guardians out before even starting it.

It was kind of sloppy, but that was the second good SC2 game of SPL, and only a week after the last one.
The game that happened was a lot better than the game we saw, though. There were tons of drops that we didn't see until like a minute later. Obs was way too focused on the main armies, which ended up not being important.
Still, I'd written Lizzy off as dead, and he made a pretty good comeback through unrelenting harassment, so I guess props to him.

I've never seen a 4gate response, so I'm not sure. 6pool was a standard ZvP SC2 opening for a few months, and kind of fell out of favor. It's really awkward for Stats to 4gate in response, though. I don't think the timings work out.
I like that Hyvaa, going Muta-ling, is expanding far away instead of taking the easy third. I've been wanting to see more Zergs try this.
It seems like SPL players are trying to port BW into SC2 as much as possible. It's kind of interesting to watch. I enjoy the experimentation.
You can't have 5 bases in a time in SC2, though (4, with optimal saturation, is best). But he can abandon one and use the other if he has too. Stephano does this a lot, just building shittons of bases with like 5 drones each.
Hyvaa made like 1 creep tumor that whole game, but that was a pretty interesting style. I'd be interesting in seeing it after a bit more refinement and some better macro.
I don't know why stats went for a kill move. He had enough to defend at home AND deny expansions. Why would you ever attack into that many spines? Hyvaa was stuck on two base. Just expand and defend : /

stats must have just panicked after finding that hidden expo and realizing that he wasn't as far ahead as he thought. after that moment, his decision making just plummeted. oh well, KT still in good shape this season regardless.

i didn't see the game, but yeah. if you see a zerg on 2 base with mass spines, it's pretty much a dead giveaway that he's going mutas. protoss response should be: make cannons in mineral lines, take a 3rd with whatever ground army you have, start working to get blink if you don't already have it and then eventually get ht+storm
