If there is going to be any stream (live or not) please announce it in the OP well in advance (use TL time tags so it shows up in the user's time zone).

The thing I'm missing the most here is the time when this is supposed to happen. Is it not known yet? All I know is "July 3rd, 2012 - 8da vs PLU" and it's from another thread.

You can also check the stream chat, if it's dead it's most likely the archives..
I'll try my best to restream this if I know the time and there's a working stream. First time was a bit messy and confusing, I also streamed a VOD or two by an accident :}

have the chinese always played these sort of tournaments and we've just never heard about it? It seems odd they are start to play some sort of team league when the Korean scene is about to die.

Forum Battles is the first I've ever heard of. Though I'm about 95% sure that those occurs occasionally in the Chinese community.
However http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=349755 proved that there were MANY, MANY Chinese tournaments around that went under our noses. Their version of PL have went almost almost an decade.
There are also many small-time tournament in the country that were televised on to NeoTV (an equivalency of OGN).
But due to the closure of BW in SK, the community have become much more active in recent time with OurStarLeague taken place as a continuous event to re-spark the interest in BW.

btw, how do i check the server's ranking for individual players? i can't read chinese so it's hard getting around that website even after chrome translated some of the texts.

The Player's Ranking is unlisted in the following link:
http://www.vsa.com.cn/user/user_starcraft/check/check_user_sort.jsp
To search for I.D.s individually, go to the first search bar at the left column that says "用户查找" which literally translated to User Search. Type in your request and it shall pop right out.
From there, only the top 9000 players are shown to the public. At the moment, the lowest Lv. is 13 from the ranking. I would say that the server have at least 9K active players with many, many under the aforementioned Lv.
